Always up for some Zilean. This season had me really worried as to what Zilean's build would be, but he's always been in an awkward spot because of his kit. I'd definitely be watching out for which items perform the best.
Ionian Boots > Imperial Mandate > Battlesong/solari/knights vow/redemption not too confident which situation calls for which items in 3rd+ items and onwards but the first two have been working great for me
Also instead of the blessing supp item, i think most zilean mains play w the solstice sleigh

I wonder if you could build the more AP oriented support items on Zilean like Mandate and Shurelya's now
Shurelya's has always been a good item for support Zilean just for the active alone even before the rework when it had 0 AP.
As a Zilean top I hate what they did to Liandrys. I used to profit a lot from the mana cdr and burn, now I need to buy another item first and decife if I take it because it doesn't have any cdr anymore. Such a crap of season.
How you cast e on zel without pointing on the char ?
I'm not sure if you mean like a self-cast but self-casting is alt+skill. so for zilean's speed boost you'd alt+e. It works with any buff skill though, so for zilean you can also alt+r
