Biotic Builds RELIC SHIELD, not shoulderguards as his support item and will continue to do so in sesaon 11. Relic is basically the AP version of the item, that I forgot about at 7:40. Sometimes you must get an enemy to 0 HP even if they have the Zilian ult on them, so they get put in the revival status and you get away, ar at other times you're f*ed anyways, so it doesn't matter.
The main reason why one tricking a champ gets you better at the game is because it practically removes the mechanical half of it. Once you've mastered the champ, there's no further room for improvement other than the game itself.

@@arroys8345 depends on your characters tho. Abyssal is quite good into focusing someone out of team fight or scirmishes, it feels quite good to buiuld on tank supports. Force of Nature can be quite good into certain situations. Warmogs is also situational. The item can be good even if it isn't going to solve everything, y'know. Riot intended that items will become situational and they did sorta good job with this.
even if you're not a support main, or even will ever actually pick up zilean. There's one very important lesson here you can learn if you wanna climb like bitotic did. Keep your pool small, have 2 or 3 champs and stop playing random champs you don't know how to play or you're not great at. Honestly, the fastest way to climb is to one trick
That's what I'm doing and it is working, sort of. I play both top lane (2) and support (1), top lane primarily. I think I should focus on support more since it is a role that is actually fun to play. The only bad thing is that when the enemy bans 1st champ, and the 2nd one is countered by the enemy. Other than that, I would highly recommend to stick to 2-3 champs, maybe 4 at max.
Want to know how to climb in league? Pick one champ you like, but one that is not really that popular. Play that one champ, and only that champ in a role you feel comfortable in, while at the same time looking at what other high level one tricks do. Now play this champions at least 2 times a day for the whole year and by that time, you would have understood what your champ permits you to do and what and how it makes you win. This is the moment you hit a high rank.
@@decal4707 idk i like ad shaco a lot, especially with HoB, galeforce etc but the biggest issue i find with ad shaco is that you need to build a tiamat to improve your clear speed, but i dont like building ravenous/titanic hydra so in the end its like 1200 gold spend really early in the game only to keep up with the clear speed of other champions, while they already built 50% of their powerspike mythical item. I dont know how it goes for ap shaco tho because ive not played it jungle for a long time.

The new dark seal buff is extremely strong. Mandate + mejais + sorc pen boots allow you to have comparable power to a mid laner. After that oblivion orb for GW into cosmic for cdr. Higher elo build more supportive. Or void instead of cosmic drive if magic pen is needed asap
Sounds good. Especially in preseason - high damage champions are dominating, so I bet it would be great. IMO by the start of season 11 after all the stats have been nerfed people will move to the supportive playstyle as it should be more effective everywhere.(I do think ap is more fun though)

That being said, S11 introduced and changed tons of items in Zilean's favour, mostly the new Shurelya, Cosmic drive, Chemtech putrifier and buffed ionian boots (That's more than 100 haste with runes), while other supports won't have the opportunity to build that much CDR.

800K Zil here, his R often is being taken out of context and is also done in this video so i have to clarify, even though he can revive you with it, you have to die in the first 5 secs he casts it on you, that is plenty of time for the enemy to pull a number of tricks to make his R useless, and other thing is, it takes 3 sec to revive, which again, assuming you get to proc it and revive, if you are in an unpredictable situation you are likely stuck there for 3 secs only to die after being revived by it, thus unless you can predict what the enemy will do and you are like +80% sure, as a Zil you end up no using your R and the ally would which would die anyway does. The worst part of this is again, if that ~20% suddenly flips for you, you still get your R wasted most of the time because your target will be killed anyways. So, essentially his R can either be extremely useful or extremely useless, most of the time at least, and of course depending on the situation.
I feel like I should really give this old man a try... I've always liked champions with a very passive lane phase (due to very poor mechanics on my side tbh) and not having to go aggressive but still being useful later.
I think guardian is needed for zilean to survive lane in most matchups, very similar to how bard has started to take it as he only needs to survive lane. I will check with him about everfrost, but I would assume he doesnt think it is needed and would prefer to go more supportive. It seems that might be the best playstyle for season 11 support rather than the high dmg playstyle of the past, especially with how OP locket should be. For sure it should be great for mid zilean to replace hextech glp though.
I think that Glacial is pretty much Dead in Season 11. In Season 10 it was still playable but a lot weaker then the Guardian Peel playstyle. The animation seems very clunky and its insanely expensive.
Now I actually want to play Zilean again but not to climb but I just remember how much bullshit you can do with the new haste system and his ult. Annoying people to the max with it hahaha
Does Imperial Mandate not work on zilean Q stun?? I tested it in Practice tool, slow deals damage. Immobilization (Q stun) does not deal extra damage. at level 7 - Mandate gives 40 ap = 274 dmg 2 books (40 ap) = 274 dmg

Because his design isn’t attractive, look at all the highest played characters. They are either hot edgy guys or busty anime girls. His kit is also not appealing. One damage skill that’s hard to land, no dash or flash and the rest are pretty niche utility stuff.
I got the same story. I was midlaner, silver 1 bout 3 months ago. So I mastered Lulu (bout 6 videos 4-5 hours) and now im diamond 4. It took me like 1 week?

I didn't get why Zilean's level 10 is the biggest spike. Is it because W Max sdcond? When I was using Zilean, I used to max Q first, and then W(Or sometimes put some points on E instead of W)
Season 10 - lvl 10 was when you got to 40% CDR, so it was when he was maxed out. With new items this is a bit different, and ability haste comes in a bit slower, but your late game stays just as strong

It depends on the person being ulted, if he does really high damage then it is more worth killing him instead of waiting.

It's strange to look back a season or two to see that zilean sup was once off-meta. Nowadays it's so fairly common and makes so much sense.

I got the same story. I was midlaner, silver 1 bout 3 months ago. So I mastered Lulu (bout 6 videos 4-5 hours) and now im diamond 4. It took me like 1 week?

Climbing on support is about being consistent, aware, and very lucky.

I agree that hes underplayed, but not undervalued. Theres isn't a single support in the game that makes my teammates write "I LOVE YOU' as often as zilean who ults someone a splitsec before they die
I play a pretty decent Zilean with that split sec reaction but since my keyboard been acting up havent played Zilean in a while... been playing singed instead tho

I didn't get why Zilean's level 10 is the biggest spike. Is it because W Max sdcond? When I was using Zilean, I used to max Q first, and then W(Or sometimes put some points on E instead of W)
Season 10 - lvl 10 was when you got to 40% CDR, so it was when he was maxed out. With new items this is a bit different, and ability haste comes in a bit slower, but your late game stays just as strong
um. I like your content, and I'm very glad you frequently upload, but this is clear clickbait. The title is misleading AF. He wasn't a Bronze Player who climbed to Challenger with Zilean Support. He was a Former Challenger / Diamond Player who cilmbed to Challenger a second time with Zilean Support. :/
