Probably it would add more weight, and would ruin this clean design of the bike (also would be even more expensive). And the benefit? Since, very few ppl commute 20+ km a day (in total 40km), it should have enough juice for a whole day of riding. And if not, you still can add the "range extender battery pack". So, I think we all have the answers to that "question".
I understand that this bike is primarily a commuter ebike but can this model handle trails or the rail trails around NZ? Is your wife still happy commuting on this from comfort point of view?
She is very happy with the bike commuting. It is a smooth comfortable bike even though it has no suspension but you would probably need more gravel oriented tyres for a rail trail.
@@jaselikesbikes Thanks. I have a 2022 Turbo Como 5.0 (not SL) on order in Waikato. 2022 model has a front fork suspension and suspension seat post so hoping it fares well for the rail trails. Mostly for commuting to work via the Te Awa cycle way.
Awesome bike, but impressed with how smooth the roads are.
Really? Auckland is known for having smooth roads.
A user removable battery would be a good feature, not all bike storage areas have access to charging.

perfect whaka100 machine with a basket full of snacks :)
I need a basket for the XC bike.
Great video! What size is that? Medium or large? Thanks
Thanks it is a medium, looks like they are even cheaper now. It is still going dtong, no faults and the maintainance free drivetrain is awesome.
Thanks Jase
You are man!
I forgot to ask you how tall you were so that we give me a point of reference for the medium... thanks for the time buddy
The first thing I'm going to do is do away with the front basket and bracket and relocate the light.. And your opinion do you see any issue with that?
I think that should be good. The basket is useful but a bit clunky.@@mikeray8359

Thanks Jase
You have been a great help!

These videos are taken in NZ?
Hi Stephen. Yes in Auckland.

@@TheSpyNZ yes I think that one should cope well for the rail trails.
Would it be possible to go up a 30 degree hill without peddling?
Definitely not, it is pedal assisted so you have to pedal for the bike to move.
Thanks!
I forgot to ask...
How tall are you?
I am 5 8” 172cm
What is it like on AV8A? Must admit I have just bought myself an E road bike.
Ha ha, now that would be a video. An e road bike, Really? Which one?
@@jaselikesbikes Trek Domane
@@bestdayevermtb2 I might just take you up on that and bring the Levo SL.
