“Riding around the neighborhoods I could never afford to live in.” That’s how I plan many of my rides! Quite an expensive, upscale package hidden in a bike that doesn’t attract much attention.
Micah, you're doing a great job of reviewing a variety of e-bikes. SOMEONE has to include the more classy/expensive models, who better than YOU? Keep up the good work.
@UCHWubvtZMs_HS2soBya6PYg look it up it's a 21' Specialized turbo sl , super light thats what the sl stands for, its the 4.0 model , no future shock, rack or fenders, its the lightest one Specialized has
I waited two years until I saved up for an electric bike,I didn't like it and I sent it back, one of the main reasons was that it only went to 15mph(UK)too slow,I'm waiting to get a Specialized Sirrus X 4.0(hybrid) next week.🚴👍
Hi Micah, Can you tell me what size Como you were riding in this video and your height? Your videos are very informative and you do a great job.! Thanks ahead of time!
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
Micah, have you ridden any electric recumbents? Cruzbike has their T50e and I imagine the other big names in recumbents have some e models. They would all likely be over $2500 though. I ride a electric+gas motor assisted recumbent that I built around a T50 frame set and its really nice for cruising longer distances.
Have always been a fan of Specialized bikes however at that price point I will stay with my superb Ride1Up! They will need to get the price down for the common man now that they are getting into the ebike market.
you probably don't need one, given the weight. i have a 2 year old rad rover and it for sure needs at least a front suspension. i also have a lectric xp, and it's only suitable for street use. i took it through a park once, and it about rattle my teeth out! way too heavy for offroad and no suspension. i really like them both, but for different purposes.
@@OrlandoStreetsit's actually 44ibs, and honestly, it's definitely pretty easy too pick up, and riding slightly off road is pretty comfortable, especially if you add a super plush gel saddle, it just ups the comfort all the way, no major rattling, but still a little tho, as expected of a zero suspension ebike. Those nimbus tires definitely do they're job.
on this Turbo Como, what type of DISPLAY screen comes as standard? my bike shop said they call it SL because they include only the one on the bike built in to the tube and it operated with the Web app....
Well, after 1000 kilometers... I LOVE this BIKE.... me and it, we go everywhere we want or find the paths I have not ridden before... display is a tiny one in the middle and it works with Specialized APP on any cell phone... tracks everything... to detail... stopped time vs moving... if you can AFFORD and need this type of CRUISE R, I took off the basket... I'm not into the French loaf flowers and cheese.... I have 2 Panniers, they work great... 1000 kms = 621.37 miles... and going....
@@kenhoward3512 no, that is why I got an XP for under a grand that works just fine for me. $4k for the car and $1K for the e bike and still have a grand left over for a trip.
These are great, unless you have to build the bike. The routing for the hydraulic lines and shifter housing is an absolute nightmare. The aesthetic is nice, but even the Specialized staff who conduct their training say it's quite difficult. I absolutely dread when I see a customer order one.
Yeah - build one with a frame-integrated battery (with the same specs), internal gear hub, belt drive, and mid-motor for 25% of the cost and I'll buy it.
These people are out to lunch somebody will make one just as good with the same specs or better and do it for less than half the price and still make money you're paying for the owner's kids to go to college if it said Rolls-Royce I could understand prestige and fluff stuff even though it's a nice bike it is way way flipping overpriced and I'm not going to take out a mortgage just to ride a bike especially living in the North for a few months

@Emilio Lucca i dunno I would suggest flixportal. just google after it=) -jaxton
@Jaxton Titan Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it !!
@Emilio Lucca No problem :D
I have the turbo vado sl , same battery and motor .only 3300 new and weighs 33 pounds . 2000 miles so far and its been a blast

Definitely should be on Electrek's Ebike of the year list.

我的天呀,您也太會形容了,用詞真的很優美且精準。"...the bike it is just nicely designed instead of looking like a hodgepodge of parts chosen from a catalog." 👍👍👍

Did this bike have a break light
I wish I had Mikah's job!

Nice bike. No suspension?

@@skip123davis What is the weight in LBS of this Specialized bike?
@@OrlandoStreets it said in the video (and i checked the site) 47 pounds.
@@skip123davis Ok, thanks. 47's not 'that' lite. I would still prefer some kind of suspension. Still, I'd love to try this one.

Which one is better combo sl or serial 1 cty speed? I’m gonna test ride serial1 tomorrow and will buy it.
Please let me know.

Would you get this over a Serial 1 or a Riese & Muller Charger?
The Charger is $6k. which is $2k more than I paid for my 2010 Yaris, and I've gone to California with it.
I’m going test ride serial1 speed tomorrow.

45 pounds (more for larger sizes) isn’t SL ….. they should only keep that tag with the Vado SL which really is, when compared to other ebikes, SL.

Bro that’s a poem not a review ❤
People will pay for the Specialized logo? What logo? Their aren't any markings at all that I can see.
Its on sale rn for half the price, grab it while its hot! I know i am.
45 lbs is no super light, there are e-trail bikes that are 30lbs out there. $5k is insane for this bike
Might as well get the rad mission for 1k and the 3k savings get a used gas motorcycle.
AMAZING
I WANT ONE
CAN I BUY IN
ISRAEL?
Cool נחמד 😎
$4800 - crazy
Second!👍😁
I'm here early
Wanted to watch this.. That annoying music was a no from me..
not worth 4800
Way too over priced for what it is worth. Build my own is way cheaper, around 25% of the cost.

By a honda super cub 125. And 1k worth of gear/accessories. Nowayjose
@edwong3 Your delusional if you think 4800.00 is a fair price. Anyway climate change is a hoax.
@edwong3 Sorry i didn't watch the whole video, i was to busy unsubscribing.
You two should 'meet in the parkin' lot'!!!!
Grandpa bike
Ugly as hell bike for the price you're paying lol
