Yes don’t wash ur hair before dye cause the color not gonna look as u wanted even hair salon they don’t wash hair first all the hair oils in ur hair protects it n used hair color shampoo first then shampoo that is treated for colored hair
So once it’s dyed and everything should I wash it then?
@@chantel8924 always dye hair dry color will come out better get color purple shampoo bottles to keep color from fading
@@chantel8924 if u have dark color hair leave it in 45 mins to a hr so color can start showing don’t bleach hair it will damage ur hair

Can I use coconut oil?
Do you dye your hair the same day your prep? Or do you let your hair sit over night?
I let it sit overnight then dye it the next day or the day after that if I’m being lazy lol.
Can I deep condition and dye my hair all on the same day
This! I have damaged bleached hair and want to do a coconut treatment and then use a semi permanent color after I wash it out. I just don't know if that's possible? I don't want to do it after because I think the semi permanent will strip some. 🥺

Wouldn't the oils block the dye from penetrating properly?
I did not experience any difficulty with the dye penetrating my hair because I rinsed most of the oil out.
The oil actually does the opposite. It acts as a filler and lets but he dye sink in more evenly actually 😎 Also helps to protect scalp for those who have a sensitive scalp/ppd sensitivity. Don't rinse out before dying.
cosmetologist in training 😂! having to not wash ur hair before coloring is actually very important especially if you are going to bleach it because the oils in ur hair will protect it from drying it out and breaking which we dont want !!! to do less harm on the hair if you were to bleach it you could always do a bleach wash, which includes bleach and shampoo, the shampoo lathers wish will get everything and everywhere on the hair. if you were to color (or bleach)it as well, its best to have damp hair because the cuticle is open and will absorb it quicker and it will stay longer (::
