Shane is the BEST thing that has EVER happened to the ghost hunting game.

Ghost Adventures in the last 10 seasons is my favorite show of all time. It’s is literally the funniest shit you will ever see. Zak is a literal Maniac, screaming at the air and forcing his crew into rooms for no reason, dude is so awkward but he has the ego of a cruel god and then they do these segments that are so awkward, it’s pure gold, every moment.
Can’t forget constantly trying to seduce any female ghost that is described to him as being young and hot/beautiful.
I have a really vivid memory of one episode where they interviewed this woman and when Zack does his dramatic transition where he says something really ominous the woman looks dead at the camera and makes the funniest face I’ve ever seen to this fucking day. I think it was her attempt at being really scared but she mostly just looked like she mistrusted a fart and suddenly needs to change her pants 😭 I wish I could remember what episode it was but even in my Zak Baggins fangirl era (I was young and stupid don’t judge) I was like who the fuck greenlit putting that frame into the episode? It was so out of place for such a “serious” show. And I want to say this was almost definitely in the early days where they at least pretended to be real 😂
I love Aaron's "DUDE!!"s and whenever Billy screams and they make it the whole shtick of the episode. Zac is insufferable tbh, and I love watching the House Calls ones where he isn't there lol.
It’s always been funny to me how Zak is always noted for sending Aaron to go off and do the scariest stuff ever.
From leaving him alone in dark rooms to straight up threatening to strangle him whenever he fakes a demon possession.
No matter what, Zak will be douche but will also act like an insufferable coward which is funny to see but also probably annoying for Aaron to deal with in real life.
Was just watching an ep from season 3 last night where zak is shouting “what’s the matter, not used to someone standing up to you?!” at the “ghost” (an empty room) literally WHILE he is scurrying up some stairs practically bowling Nick or Aaron over to get out of there

HONESTLY. I love watching episodes where they visit my town. According to these shows we're all knee-deep in ghosts and every bench/bucket/parking meter can is the most haunted spot in the city.
And then they go international and they say THE MOST HAUNTED PLACE IN JAPAN (or pick your country). The entire globe is the most haunted, I'm convinced of this. 🙂↕️

As someone who actually paid money to visit this place, I can tell you the only thing scary about it is the extensive water damage. Looked like it would collapse on us at any moment. Also they made fun of Zach the whole time.

Very similar to when I went on a ghost tour (slash booze tour lmao) in Virginia City, NV. The guide was very tongue in cheek about what an "honor" it was to have Ghost Adventures there.

Honestly, trying to watch it at all (especially after Nick left) is just too much anymore. I used to enjoy watching the bits where the "interview" people and dick around for a few minutes. But after seeing Zak lose his fucking mind every episode just got too annoying. And the whole "There's ghosts here! Because I said so! And I'm gonna yell at them so I look like I'm all hopped up on coke when people watch me from home!" It's so pathetic... Not even the guys from TAPS acted like that. They had some kind of respect for themselves despite being frauds too.
Either way, I never believed in the Paranormal and never will, but I did enjoy what little that show did offer until I quit watching.

Edit: Update! The ghost refuses to tell me anything useful (such as who murdered them or anything like that) and instead just keeps tossing crosses at me and knocking my drinks off my desk. Truly I deal with power beyond my mortal understanding.

I'm 58 years old and I was in high school during the Apex of the whole "satanic panic" thing. To say that it was out of control is an understatement. As a local to this area, this story and the lore around Bobby Mackey’s is something I’ve heard all my life.
It’s definitely an “organic” haunted spot, a place that now has had multiple generations of people grow up hearing about it being haunted. People believed the place was haunted all the way back into the late 1970s. It’s definitely a prime example of a true “urban legend,” the kind that doesn’t really exist anymore in the age of the internet.
You joke about Zelda, but I guarantee you somewhere in America at some point, some evangelical preacher has absolutely used a screenshot of the triforce to convince some poor parents that their kids shouldn't get a Nintendo.

I was in high school when this show premiered, and I was obsessed with it... I even stayed up for their first live Halloween night haunt. I believed it all until Zach kept getting possessed every other episode. After Nick left and it was revealed Zach screwed him over, I couldn't stand to watch it.

I'm so down for this being a multipart series.
This show was exactly what turned me off the ghost hunting genre completely. I used to refer to it as "douchebags looking for ghosts." I'm a skeptic but I also dislike the idea of barging in and yelling at supposed spirits/demons/whatever. If this is allegedly a place where someone died and can't move on from why come in all aggressive? I don't think there's harm in investigating phenomenon but I wish more people would be considerate of the very real lives and tragedies behind the stories. Keep the dramatics in Phasmaphobia.

My little brother, who is now 28, used to watch this show when he was around 10 and he would watch it with his hands covering his ears because he was so scared, but refused to stop watching it 😂

My absolute favorite part of the Ghost Adventures Bobby Mackey's episode was the fact that they consistently and completely seriously indicate on the screen that the Bishop is a "Public Event Exorcist". Until I saw it, I had no idea that was an actual job title. It has continuously amused me for the last ~15 years.
(I know there are legitimate reasons they could have labelled him like that. But on top of the tight black shirts and the screaming at ghosts, it just made my day.)
I just wanted to let you know John that our boy Jereme (the one in 28 days haunted with the "God helmet") appears in a couple of A Haunting episodes as a demonologist and witness like 10 years ago lol

We've decided these things called fish exist, but we have never seen one. You have to take our word for it that they exist.
The thing i love about john is he actually researches these topics. I actually used to be terrified of the concept of "ghosts" before i found logical reasons as to why an object would move on a TV show. I used to follow ghost adventures until i got tired of getting jumpscared and they'd replay the same clip five times like we didn't get it the first time. I was deeply disturbed that the bobby macky's stories were made up and john here broke the ice for me, which confirms my suspicions on these ghost shows overdramatizing bullshit that wasn't properly documented or real to begin with.
I’m not scared of ghosts anymore but I can confirm that it has been replaced by being scared of being murdered by a real person
People take advantage of fear and not being educated to convince others of the paranormal. I'm glad John is making these videos, because they're informative and will hopefully help others see through this trash.

Yeah, anyone who's been to Bobby Macky's will tell you that it's all a lie. It's entertaining for sure, but not really true. I have been there several times myself and nothing. The old timers who been going there for a long time will even tell you that it's not haunted. They recently moved locations temporarily and people are making so many ghost jokes! Like, oh, are you moving the ghosts into the new place? Or something about the renovation causing the ghosts to stir and get pissed or something.
@@Aster_Risk I mean, ghosts are real. I have my own experiences with them that before, I was a complete skeptic. Still am until I can cross off everything that could possibly be making a certain sound or move a certain thing. One night, I was minding my own business watching TV and the remote had been sitting beside me all night long on the arm of the couch which is squared off, it's not rounded. In the middle of the night, the remote, which had not moved at all and I hadn't touched, just randomly flew across my room, hitting the entertainment center. No rhyme or reason for that to have happened. It was like someone just pushed it off of the arm of the couch hard. But the worst thing I ever experience was when I was living in the dorms and when I went to use the bathroom, there were 2 stalls and 3 shower stalls. Very echoey in there. Once I entered and started to sit down, the doors were being violently shaken by something or someone. No feet anywhere when I looked down underneath. They were being shaken so violently by something. We don't get earthquakes where I live. And I was the only one in this bathroom. Nothing else was shaking. So please, enlighten me on what could have possibly caused the stalls to shake so much that they were starting to come off their hinges. Like someone banging their fists to get into the stall. Even as I type this, I'm getting cold chills and my hair standing on ends. I'm not the type to claim ghosts for every little thing, only when I can't find out the cause, and even then, I still don't automatically think ghosts. But I honestly don't know how that happened. And there were other events related to this, this is just one of the biggest things that I just can't explain.
I seen the thumbnail and laughed cause I knew John would have a field day with a Ghost Adventures vid. If a vid has the words Ghost Adventures or a thumbnail of Zak Bagans then you know it's going to be over the top bad acting and absolutely hilarious.

Ended up at Bobby Mackey's after going to Waverly Hills with some friends. It was a fun little spot to hang out and have a drink, but I definitely didn't experience anything. Even after doing the "haunted tour" which was basically just a guided walk through the damn basement. After over 100 locations visited, I've only ever seen something that I couldn't explain once.

@@crackheadmick3613Oddly, it happened at a location with no real history attached. It was Sumter, SC 2005, at a rundown cemetery attached to an abandoned church in the middle of nowhere. We'd heard good things results wise from other "investigators" so we just kinda hopped from spot to spot. I was walking around the cemetery and caught a glimpse of a younger girl in a dress. I'm incredibly skeptical, but it's the only thing that's ever truly caught me off guard. Unfortunately, I hadn't started recording yet as we'd just arrived and I was figuring out where to get some shots.

The only difference between Ghost Adventures and the other guys, is that the GA crew ACTUALLY believes their encounters. The biggest issue the show had was that Travel Channel MADE the crew follow a contract where they HAD to play it up more than they wanted to. That was also one of the many reasons Nick left the show.

I used to watch this show for fun with my siblings as teens and then again had "Ghost Adventure Nights" with my friends in college. Its so much fun to watch even if you know its fake. I always felt bad for Aaron tho, there are times when he genuinely looks scared (I assume its when things that aren't supposed to happen, explainable but unplanned things, happen) and Zach ALWAYS makes him do things and go places he really doesn't want to go on his own. Amazing.
I like how Ryan and Shane are so entertaining on their own, they dont even need to fake ghosts for views. Unrelated to the subject of this video (so far, im literally a minute in).
Honestly, all they need to do is be themselves in a creepy place, and I'll eat it up
Also: a good debunker imo is Beardo Gets Scared. He's a believer, but hes entertaining and good at spotting fakery, and also links to other debunkers he likes, too.

I loved Ghost Adventures as a kid (Zak Bagans was my first real true love lmfao). I love John Wolfe. This is THE crossover of my lifetime.
It's funny how much Zak cares about his tough guy image here when he continues to wear those thick, goofy glasses in the post-movie episodes, after a ghost scared him so badly that his vision started decaying.

I used to be an avid ghost adventures watcher. I still enjoy ghost shows, real or not. It's definitely interesting to listen to someone who doesn't believe in ghosts talk about it. I'd definitely love it if you continued. :)
