Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
When Kirk gets the text that says, "It's perfect," I tear up a little. I love that they gave him that moment.
Sad they didn’t give Sookie any moment
@@beomz6539 I agree. She was an important part of the show. I'm guessing Melissa McCarthy's own success made it difficult for her to make more than a quick appearance. But I'm glad they at least got her in there.
I love Kirk he’s my fave love how he was only going to b I the first episode show wouldn’t b right if it didn’t have a Kirk x
Absolutely agree.. its almost like...it was a fulfillment of his role at Starshollow... the last thing that he did. He did it PERFECT...
ikr kirk needed that
To quote Rory... "I'm having one of those moments that everything is so perfect and so
wonderful that you almost feel sad because nothing can ever be this good again."
wxclim8 what episode? PLEASE
I think it's from Season 1 episode 16, "Star-Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers" :)
Sari Brenes...
tm-kc9ro is correct. Sorry I didn't see this to reply sooner.
This is right before Dean said he loved her... and she had nothing for him... hence they broke up for awhile
Dean has a bit, wife bashing tendency.
Emily had such an amazing arc for the revival. With Richard dying, she put a lot of things into perspective. I also love how they made a running joke of her not being able to keep a maid in the OS but you see her caring for the maid and her family now. She had such a great story.
Sadly, she was the only character that had any growth in this awful revival.
@@mateoairaudo5535 Well, it apparently took Emily more than 70 years to change, so I guess we can cut someone like Rory a slack, can't we?
@@iamsultana I don't think so Lol. Rory had a billion opportunities to pull herself together. When it comes to Emily, she suffered a great lost yet she really went through it with a lot of dignity. Basically, her husband was her whole life and, all of the sudden, he was gone. Besides, Richard's death gave her a new life perspective and actually made her an independent person. So, her storyline was really admiring.
@@mateoairaudo5535 I agree that her storyline was beautiful, but that's not what I said at all. Emily also had plenty of opportunities to change for the better, like when her teen daughter left home, but she didn't. She didn't change even when the daughter came back to her life 16 years later. So even though I disapprove of lots of things Rory has done, she is young and allowed to make habitual mistakes.
@@iamsultana On the one hand, I agree that Rory still has time to become a decent woman. However, Emily´s case is totally diferent. Emily and Richard lived in a time when the woman was supposed to be on her husband´s side and that´s it. However, Rory had all the advantages to become a highly accomplished person, to have a career and to settle down whenever she felt like it. But, she really messed it up by sleeping with a married guy (AGAIN), and having a baby with him. That´s such a dissapointing arc and, while Rory might do better from now on, she´ll never realize her full potential as having a kid comes with a lot of responsibility. What about her career? She went to Chilton and Yale for a reason and she just ruined her life forever. Now, she became kinda like a second Lorelai. However, the difference is that Lorelai is a flawed yet really strong woman who decided to raise their girl on her own and boosted her butt to give Rory the life she never had herself. Rory is a trainwreck and there´s no turning back. And last, I got her mistakes during her youth but she´s not a kid anymore. The fact that she´s learned absolutely nothing from her mistakes is totally forced and implausible, not to mention unrealistic, in my view. And, as for Emily, yes. She wasn´t exactly the most sensitive mother ever. She was really proud, just like Lorelai was. However, she´s nowhere near as flawed as Rory.
The comfort you feel while watching Gilmore Girls is like no other show has ever made me feel. I re-watched it while I was pregnant with my daughter and watched the revival when I was nursing her after she was born and hopefully we can watch it together when she grows. I'm a single mom with my girl now.
My mom watched this show when she was pregnant with me, and almost 16 years later, we watched it together. I absolutely love this show
So very true!!!
❤️
Yes I will never get tired of watching and re-watching the episodes. Been watching for 20 years now.
Awww good luck to you and your daughter
I love that they used the song that they first danced to at Liz's wedding for their wedding
Good memory! :D Didn't realise at first.
Karen Cowher I couldn't agree more
Sorry, what's the name of the Song?
worn out by sam phillips
It's actually called "Reflecting Light".
I cried hard throughout this scene, especially the part with Emily and Richard's portrait. Beautiful.
So I am not the only one crying for that moment haha. The wedding is so beautiful, but the Emily's part is also sad/happy, which is a great contrast with the wedding. Ahhh a great scene.
Félix B I was crying too. i feel sorry for Emily. all those years she just wanted what was best for lorelaia
MetalLaLa Me too. Emily breaks my
Same! I cried because of Emilys part, because it was sad, but I was also so happy for her that she finally got over Richards death and found her place.
I'M NOT CRYING UR CRYING.
I love how all of Miss Patty's dancers have all grown up
IKKKKKRRRR...I thought I was the only one who noticed
I had the same thought.
I thought the very same!
me too!!
They became Bunheads from the show
So jealous of those who have never experienced the masterpiece that is Gilmore Girls and will get to experience it for the first time.
LOVE DINE I just did. Started season 1 in November 30th 2016 and binge watched until January 25th 2017. All 7 seasons on Netflix.
I JUST finished all the seasons for the first time and wow what a show ❤️
Yep. I've watched since the beginning and I would love to watch it all over again for the first time. As it is I've seen all the episodes so many times.
I’m new lol
Love Dine i started watching it few months ago and all done now!
I’m sad Jess wasn’t there... even though Luke had always loved Lorelai, Jess sort of pushed Luke to go after her.
It's supposed that Jess is there, because in the last chapter he appears and says that he will see them at the wedding. But I don't have any idea why he is not in this last scene or maybe he is but not within the scene 🤔
Patricia Isabel Pintado López It’s bc this is not the actual wedding, we didn’t get to see the real one that took place the day after
I think the book pushed Luke to Lorelai not Jess
As much as I love this scene, am I the only one who was surprised to not have Sookie there? I know Melissa only had so much time to do her part in the revival, but come on!
I was thinking that too, they're supposed to be best friends
bbtiva17 She didn't want to come back for the last episode, so I don't think her and Lauren got along very well.
+Kay I doubt it's that. It's just Melissa McCarthy most likely was busier and probably had schedule conflicts, especially if all she would do is just appear in a montage of the wedding.
The real wedding is supposed to be the next day. Everyone will be there then.
The problem is, that Melissa had a full scedule.
I love that Michel is honestly smiling, he's truly her friend and he's happy for her, even if he won't admit that
He's softie underneath that sassy layer, kinda like Luke, but Luke is more grumpy than sassy
I love this scene for many reasons! The music, the dancing, the magic, the lights, but also that Kirk actually seems mature and not so self centered, Emily seems more content, and Michele is actually smiling and happy for them. Great scene!
I literally sobbed at all the moments that they mentioned Ed Hermann and specially when Rory went back to the gilmore house to write. My heart ached.
Mine too! How can we possibly feel pain over something ficticious
SingleMom Journey because unfortunately it's not ficticious, Edward Herrmann died:(
I love how the biggest smile you see on michels face is during this scene
Yes, and I thought it was really sweet/cute how Michel sort of shyly averted his eyes when they kissed just afterwards, so that they could have a smidgen of privacy. Rarely see Michel considerate/generous like that.
I kind of love any scene where Michel shows he cares for Lorelai.
there are two main things i love about this scene. they finally did it! they got married. and to see emily in a somewhat simple life, she still has her wealth but she is living in a sea side cabin taking care of her maid and that family, working at the museum and sitting outside after tucking them in with a glass of wine. it shows that she has really changed after the loss of richard but in a good way and i love it. i love this show and i cant stop loving it im so glad they gave us this.
honestly ik some ppl said this revival isnt perfect, but humans created this so what did u expect right, but i agree with u this revival was heart warming and bring the nostalgia from the previous 7 seasons
No matter what others say, this show will always have a place in my heart.
I've never cried this much on a show before.
Me neither!!!!!!
I always cry a little whenever i watch this scene again. It felt like the fairytale ending in real life. Ps: my eyes get all watery every time I just hear the first guitar cords.
Fr I sob everytime I watch this part😭 the part where Emily kisses the picture of Richard always gets me
Same
Nice to know that Kirk can do something right!!!
he had a huge crush on her back in the day.... ;)
And on "accident"
Loved that they reused this song for this scene. I fell in love with it from Luke and Lorelei's dance together
Mahsa Ashabi me too and that is one of my favorite episodes but this time it makes me cry every time because it was the start of their relationship and now it’s the start of their marriage
Mahsa Ashabi o
The only thing missing for me was Richard Gilmore, RIP Edward Herrmann
Richard Lane it wasn't the same without him I was so sad like I knew him or something lol
I cried when Lorelai called Emily to tell her about her happy memory of Richard seeing her at the mall when she was 13 and the moment they shared. That scene was beautiful.
Ed Herman's death sucked, but it got the wheels turning in Amy Sherman-Palladino's head "which would this affect Emily and the girls" and that's what led to this shirt series being made. Now we need them to make more.
But the show paid the best tribute for his memory. I do not think any show had paid that level of tribute to any actor who passed away. When you really think about it, the whole reboot was build around Richards passing away. Every thing happened in the reboot have some sort of a link to his death.
As much as I love this, I still get upset that Emily wasn't there. Despite everything, we all know she would have loved to have been there, to see her only child happy and getting married.
Yeah she always showed up for Lorelei’s parties kinda annoyed she wasn’t part of the wedding too 😔
She will be coming to the main event on the next day. If u really think about it, if she was here in this scene, it would not be faithful and logical to the story. But they nicely got Emily into the scene. Her sequence in Nuntucket is perfect.
Only logical people missing from this scene in Sookie and Jckson.
Rewatch the episode
Its not about Emily wants its Lorelai and Lukes wedding
@@TheMrgoodboy2 and Jess
This scene is very touching and beautifully shot. However, after 7 seasons, i think Lorelai and Luke deserved to have a huge wedding party with the whole town present. I mean, that happened but I would´ve loved to get to watch it.
I don’t remember help me out here.. why was she wearing a black dress and there was no one around? So Kirk did this whole thing but no one was there to celebrate and see it? Or was it the night before? And they actually got married there? And did it again the next day?
@@nbpeace4283 yes..it was the night before the wedding. They planned to do it again the next day with the whole town and Emily present.
The night before the wedding, Luke and Lorelai get stressed at the thought of the ceremony and the party, and decide they should get married before the chaos.
@@nbpeace4283 cause she wanted too.
as much as i love this scene and everything about the revival i wish they would have gotten married during the first 7 seasons
Katie Snyder I think they maybe would have had them get married if amy pallidino (spelling?) had produced that last season. She said in an interview that she didn’t even watch that last season because it isn’t what she wanted. Since she did the revival, she had the opportunity to finish it the way she wanted.
@@JenniferBarstead All due respect to Palladino, I´m actually glad season 7 didn´t turn out as she wanted in the first place. Don´t get me wrong, season 7 was by far the worst season of the show, but at least had a nice ending, albeit Rory rejecting Logan definetly made his whole arc in the show pointless. But, this revival was an ansolute DISGRACE. Can´t believe this is the ending Palladino had in mind back in the late 2000´s. Looking back on the reunion, its message is so gloomy and depressing that it´s impossible to believe.
Mateo Airaudo yeah I get that. I really hated how Logan and Rory were both cheating on their partners in the revival.
Mateo Airaudo I also wish Rory would have actually ended up with someone in the revival. I find that it’s just too much of her moms story.
@@JenniferBarstead Yep. Such a shame. I think Rory´s arc might be the most disappointing in tv history. Yesterday I was watching some scenes from the first season and it´s sad how such a sweet and beautiful character ended up being such a mess. I know we´re all flawed but give me a break.
i was SOBBING at this part, especially when I realized what the song was
Jaida Gehring I feel ya
ME TOO
where is the song from?
sultanabran1 it’s the song that they danced to at Liz and T.J’s wedding
Oh Kirk... for the 1st tine ever you did amazing with this wedding. Its sparkly, pink and filled with wimzy just like Lorelei, it's perfect 😍
Yep and it was an "accident "
the part with emily and richards picture gets me every time
TRUE
i love how emily’s story ends. it’s honestly really beautiful. she’s finally happy and at peace i guess you would say? in my opinion this whole scene is the best out of the YITL show :)
and fall is the prettiest season too! ikr emily finally found her wonderland
I love that Emily finds peace and comfort in Nantucket, but she should have been there for this
agreed! she would always mention them about being together :/
I find it very odd that Emily wasn’t there
The wedding was the next day. At would be hard for Emily too be there right away if she was out of town. In glad she want there. Its was Lorelai and Lukes moment too shine with the people was there fir them. Emily was never there for Emily. I wish they would have brought Mia in.
Ugh. As beautiful as this scene was, I wish they were married already. I would’ve preferred that we got to see them already 8-10 years into their marriage with another kid, another sibling for Rory. They definitely screwed this up. It was cringey seeing them still struggling with the same old issues that they did in season 6. Sure, not all marriages/relationships are perfect but at the age they’re at and how long they’ve been together, they should’ve had the “basics” of a relationship down. I would’ve preferred seeing them struggling as working together as parents or being a united front raising their kid or something else. Lol.
MexicanJL970 Totally agree. The show really missed the boat on Luke & Lorelai. Viewers should've been able to see them as a married couple for at least a couple of seasons. They kept dangling their relationship then they'd snatch it away over and over. Turned out to be a huge missed opportunity. That they actually had Lorelai and Christopher get married was the ultimate bizarre twist. Between that and Rory's head scratching and very disappointing arc I'm not sure what the writers were thinking.
I disagree. The thing is, Americans have a very high regard for marriage. So in American shows and movies you see them getting engaged and married so, so fast. Without having lived a daily life together for years, which is necessary to really get to know someone. If you're not at least engaged after two years, the relationship "isn't going anywhere". Marriage doesn't make a relationship. It doesn't change the relationship either. It's just a formality. I loved that they kept that free spirit type feel to their relationship. Then, after they had a few struggles, they realised once again that they belonged together. That's when they got married and that's perfect to me.
I'm from the Netherlands and everyone I know that is around my age, got married after being together for 8 to 10 years. Already having kids and a house. A marriage is an afterthought and usually done because it has benefits. For the father's rights and with taxes.
PlumDutchess . A person can play house for several years. It’s meaningless.
@@plumdutchess Totally agree, they never seemed like the lets-get-married-type to me anyways. But I guess I would have liked to see them have a kid, since Lorelai wanted another one so badly in season 6&7.
@@josephososkie3029 there are couples who waist along time t I get marrird
I just finished The Gilmore girls(including the revival) and all the magic in this show has envolved me. This is amazing. It was a experience. Beautiful serie.
yeah i'll never see life the same way i used to see it, this show changed me
Even if the revival were disappointing (which for me it absolutely wasn't!) it would've been worth it for this sequence alone.
ChaunceySaunders I loved all the revival! I am still shocked! It was a dream come true, the only disappointment was rory's professional life and Emily's decision to leave the house she shared with her husband for 50 years
I know! I'm absolutely enthralled with how beautiful and perfect the setting is. It's definitely the first time I've seen a wedding ceremony portrayed in a show/movie where I want it for myself haha.
I LOVED the revival. I get why ppl didn't it cuz the characters (specifically Rory) weren't likable or doing the right thing, but for me that was the point! This is the most I even saw Rory as human! The most I ever related to her, not cuz I did what she did but because I felt the perfect little girl was just as flawed as I was. Unfortunately I feel viewers (for any show) need the characters to always be good or get better with everything (and also since this is a mini series revival it will get more scrutiny) but that's not real to me. That's not even Gilmore Girls to me. I mean how long did we watch Lorelei try to figure it out? The entire series.
aeris44 I just don’t like that she was the other woman again and she had a boyfriend she kept forgetting about. I guess that the Palladinos did that for humor but I felt sorry for the guy.
@@cmrwrite I actually see it as a natural part of her life. She was so serious and focused as a child and then in college to the point that even though she was intelligent and had fun, she was still in many ways naive, unaware and sheltered, plus she never really went through her teenage years in the way many did. With her career not taking off as expected it in a way had a knock on effect into her personal life and she is having her 'rebellious and mistake laden' teenage years in her 30s.
I like how Michel hasn't changed at all
I proposed to my wife while this played in the background. She grew up Gilmore Girls and she has watched it back to back year after year. I thought it wouldn't be a romantic proposal, but she insisted it was and cried.
I'm so lucky to have her in my life and whenever I see this video, I get those fuzzy feelings all over again. ☺
aww what a gentle man
my favorite moment of the revival. Once the song started playing, I literally burst into tears. Forever one of my favorite tv couples
Me tooooooo
Sobbed like crazy throughout this scene
Me too!!!! I think its one of the most beautiful heartwaeming yet saddest scene i ever seen
Beautiful to see Lorelai and Luke finally together...and Lorelai truly happy, it was about her happiness all along...but boy that scene of Emily and Richard's portrait...burst into tears....Beautiful video, thank you!!!
This scene was perfect. 😚 I love this song so much, it's so beautiful. And the decor was stunning. I'm happy that Luke & Lorelai got what they wanted in the end. 👰❤💕💞💓
Amber Ph•pps I agree, everything was so beautiful❤ I almost cried when the song started. It's only kind if sad that Emily wasn't there. Didn't she say in 2.04 something like "A mother waits and plans for this day, even your mother."
if im not wrong it's also the song lorelai and luke danced to at his sister's wedding (i.e. when they started to become more than friends)
totally agree. love that song. so beautiful.
Yes, am so glad it was the song choice for that moment, since it evoked so well their first unofficial date and the feelings that really started to come to the fore back then. Whatever else about the revival, the Lorelai-Luke wedding was the best part, for me.
neverumindwho I feel the same way. I was disappointed with everything else but the wedding was perfect.
The song made the wedding scene perfect. This song and the first time Lorelai and Luke danced to it at Liz's wedding has stayed in my own heart since them. Beautifully done. Magical. The place where dreams come from that sometimes come true.
I was crying my eyes out through the revival Gilmore girls has always been so well thought out every happy thing, every mistake and interaction just makes so much sense, there really is no other show that gets you so emotionally attached to the characters. I’m so glad its turned out this way it’s perfect😢😢
i hope april, jess, sookie and emily played huge parts in their wedding later that day
IKRRRRRR.
In pretty sure they did.
I love this show. I will forever love Lauren Graham for making me fall in love with GG and it becoming such a big part of my life.
you mean gg the parisian georgia?
bad jokes ik im sorry
The song is "Reflecting Light" by Sam Phillips.
THANK YOU
I think Luke and Lorelai are so perfect together. Lorelai has been truly happy with him. They’ve known for so long, and Luke’s been waiting and supporting her through all her relationships. I just love this showww
Am I the only one a little peeved they didn't have time to call anyone for Luke? Like Lorelai and Rory have friends there, but they couldn't stop to call Jess or April? Not even Liz and TJ?
Emma Hugo considering Luke is the godfather to lane's twins I think it was the perfect choice sure jess would have made it perfect but in the end life is not perfect which I think this revival has shown us all! We all have different experiences in life but usually someone always wants things different and sees things in a different way so it will be hard to get it right for everyone. All in all the revival has gone back to how it used to be at the beginning of the show the fast paced funny as hell characters which are not perfect but then again perfect to each other for different reasons!
I forgot Luke was the godfather to the twins! I totally agree, the revival was amazing, perfectly imperfect.
They technically eloped. The wedding was supposed to be the next day. So more than likely, they did it again the following day and thats when everyone would have attended. Including her mother and everyone else.
Jess, Sookie, and April definitely should have been there
Lane is there for both so is the Reverend... Rory is there as well and Kirk was unbeknownst to him is Luke's best friend who put this fairytale together 💋
I didn’t think much of this when I first saw it, but about a year later I came home drunk and played it and bawled my eyes out. Oddly cathartic!
This is the best gift that Gilmore Girls gave to their true fans. Thanks
I wish they would bring back the show. This is the one show I miss desperately. I binge watch on NETFLIX.
Sandy Gabler I'm so mad at Amy, she could've done a huge season. But instead she decided to do only for episodes, she was inspired by Sherlock... (I wanted at least an entire season) At least this scene is perfect...
Cried a lot on this. Actually in the full last episode hahaha. It broke my heart in thinking this was the last and we wouldn't have more...
this was absolutely perfect, yes everyone wanted to see the big flashy wedding but in the gilmore girls universe it happened on the same day a few hours later and they only wanted this small intimate moment so instead of being stressed at their wedding they waited way too long for they had a happy wedding too, it's not that big of a deal that emily wasn't included because she would be there in the morning playing a huge role along with all the other characters
Oh this scene gets me every time! The show was beautifully done
I'm glad, our Generation had Gilmore Girls.
Thank you Amy and all the actors!❤
THIS HIT ME SO HARD, GOD I LOVED THIS SCENE SO MUCH. THE SONG WENT ALONG SO PERFECTLY WITH IT TOO, I AM CRYING
Came to gilmore girls for the y2k nostalgia and because I had been pinning pictures of the house and town for years on pinterest without having ever seen the show and finally figured hey, I might like this, you know, for the aesthetic. Never did I imagine it would be literally life changing. I have laughed, I have sobbed. What a wonderful magical experience
This was so perfect! I cried like a baby! I can't even talk about it without tearing up! Lol! Beautiful job wrapping up my all time favorite show!
Jennifer same here. I am watching the episode all alone and im literally crying as im typing this
I was waiting for my loved Sandra for 16 years, I hope we can be together and get a wedding like this.
This is just purely beautiful... all, all scene.. and "Reflecting light" brings back so many memories ❤ Perfect
A perfect and lovely moment for the Luke & Lorelai love story! Love this song from my favorite L & L waltz scene !
The song fits the scene so perfect
Lilly Wild what is the song's name? Somebody knows?
Ivana Dalpozzolo Reflecting Light by Sam Phillips. It was played in season four when Luke and Lorelai danced together at Liz and TJ’s wedding❤️
sam philips and her guitar is *chefs kiss*
This scene is so beautiful - just wish we saw other people there like Sookie, Jackson and Jess. Im still hoping for a revival 2 to fix the many issues in the first revival.
I feel like Lorelai had the most character growth although she was still pretty much fleeting til toward the end. Rory still learned nothing. I felt bittersweet toward these 4 episodes
@@estephaniaquiroz1671 Rory struggling and dont know what to is part of life. Noones life is perfect. She predict on how her life will go. Can you predict on how your life is going to in your 30's. heck I'm am 50 years old and I'm struggling in life.
I couldn’t cry the first time because there were people but then I went up into my room, watched it again, and bawled.
Everything about this is beautiful.
I loved this scene from beginning to end. Even though the revival had mayor dissapointments this was great, seeing lorelai and luke finally getting the ending they deserve, lorelai and rory on the back of the car appreciating stars hollow at night, emily’s last scene. And the song also fits the scene perfectly, I loved it
LOVE THAT SCENE! The fact that she always adored snow, made it all specials when the writers decided that it would fall off the sky right after saying I DO to her longtime soulmate. Would have loved for her Little black dress to have been either white or creme white, but i'll get over it :-)
This scene was so perfect, the whole episode was so perfect, girlmore girls is perfection
This scenes makes me so emotional😭❤ this show was a huge part of my life in my teen years and this scene was a perfect goodbye
yeah i also related to rory a lot once she didnt got what she want meanwhile she's used to getting what she has worked for
The song is just so perfect and everything is just too much! The scene was so touching, it is like Lorelai is my child and I just watched her grow up 😢🙂 I just can't believe how far Lorelai and Rory have come 😭 And Lorelai and Rory sure have worn out the world... :')
This scene is so bittersweet and my heart sobs every time I watch it. Everything comes full circle and they use the most appropriate song to cement the love we all knew Luke and Lorelai had back at Liz and TJ’s wedding. When Emily kisses her hand and places it on Richard’s picture I fall to pieces. This entire scene is just perfectly done. Amy had this planned all along and it was worth the wait. What a beautiful moment. To all the people saying “he needed to be there, she needed to be there” I don’t agree. The only people that truly needed to be there were Luke and Lorelai. It’s their moment. It’s their love story.
I don't think I will ever stop watching this at least every few months
so who r u? dean's lindsay or doyle's paris?
I cry during this whole scene and I can’t stop it
i love that lorelai and luke got married and the reflecting light song fits it perfectly.
I just finished Gilmore girls and LET ME TELL U when i got to this part and heard the start of the song (reflecting light) i started bawling instantly, I’m so happy they used this song again
Such a beautiful scene, makes me teary-eyed.
The beautiful song playing is called ‘Reflecting Light’ by Sam Phillips, who was also the voice singing the ‘la la la’s’ throughout the show. You can even hear a nod to the la la’s in the middle of the video. Love that.
Will it be another season? I just need to see Rory and Jess end up together so i can die in peace for the love of god!!!!!!!!!!
I hope so too
Please no, not Jess
Yes
@laura marrero fabian Woman not women.
ikr! i used to hate jess but seeing his character development made me think he was the right person in the wrong time
i have been rewatching this show for the past 10 years. it never gets old.
Kirk my boy, you did it!! You finally did something amazing.
The song omg that makes this moment even more perfect. This song played during Lorelai and Luke’s first dance back in season 4 🥺
The little details in this scene so beautiful
Emily’s growth has been amazing
don't know if someone else has pointed this out, but the song for this scene is the same song they use for the scene at liz's wedding, when lorelie and luke dance together. you know the wedding he invited her to after he finally realized he loved her! rewatching this scene and rewatching that particular really tells you where the creators got some of their inspiration for
lorelie's wedding.
Cant stop my eyes from tearing up while watching, its truly a lovely scene!
Josie B Fancy0
I really hope that they do a revival 2. And that they flashback to this wedding - or at least have another wedding where the whole cast can be together for one last hurrah. This scene is still so beautiful though.
It needs a movie with Rory getting married.
Beautiful the moment we have been waiting for and it was amazing
Carolynn Streater lol truth
Am-na Na-bi i wrote mommy instead of moment 😂
I found the song from this on here. Been listening to it non-stop since yesterday
Great version of the song. Fits so well.
This was the only thing I really loved about the revival.
I liked how Amy basically made everyone stop obsessing over a girl's prospective husband with Rory's storyline. Society NEEEEDS to stop thinking in terms of marriage and start letting people create their own lives. Amy HATES when people have those "which boyfriend team are you on" convos
Can we talk about how lorelai looks like a queen being the age she is now
ok i love this scene tho ❤️ they had waited so long for their wedding and it was perfect ahhhh also i just love how the song was the same one they danced to at the beginning of their relationship ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it’s my favorite song now because whenever i hear it i think of this moment
This seen made me cry like a baby and I NEVER cry! This is truly the song I want to dance to at my wedding
Reflecting Light... Perfect! I miss this show... 😢
Finally, after a long, long....LONG TIME, I SAW THE WEEDING....it's beautiful....
But I cry a lot in the part of Emily and the Richard's photo.
i loved that they used the same song they used for their first dance at TJ and liz's wedding!
did anyone else yell "finally!" when they got married?
Ericka M- ASP said the wedding was supposed to be a huge thing but because of budget they couldn't do it. I really wish it would get a full season so we can get the whole package.
This scene just proves that sometimes there doesn't have to be words in order to communicate a message or feeling.I love Gilmore Girls so much and when I first saw this scene and even now I just cant help but cry. The revival was so good and special in so many ways.
This scene is so perfect!
The song is beautiful & so are they. That's why it fits and goes !!!
wow its been 4 years and u're still a true gilmore
I teared up a little when it showed Emily
RIP Richard you were a true Gilmore you will always be rembered
dont u tease me gilmore❤️
This scene is perfect. It really feels like a reward for waiting so long to see Lorelai and Luke get married. And while I appreciate the real ending of A Year In The Life for leaving it open to a potential second revival, unless we actually get another year in the life, this is the real ending for me. It feels like a perfect place to end off this amazing story.
Best scene ever in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. This had me teary eyed
I like to imagine that The Year in the Life was just snippets of an entire 22 episode season and that Sookie and Jess were supposed to be there at the gazebo over Michele and Lane. Also Emily's Nantucket life wouldve had a whole episode dedicated to it and she would be there at the elopement as well.
I love the Song! the Violin part is sooo beautiful! I decided to make a lala from the Scene. It's already done. it has the violin in the background. I call it " Luke and Lorelai" if someone is interested I could send it via email 😊
La serie TV più bella del mondo lo guardata 10 volte ho 8 anni
So much feeling, what a great show, I'm lucky I stared to watch after they made a year and a life.b
This is the best scene ever! Literally cry every time I watch it and just now realized it was their first dance together song! Sigh I’m obsessed with this song
