I've got these pliars. I also gave a set to a friend in The UK.
I like them but i heard some complaints. Mostly it was that they were too large and you need a rotating vise......sigh. To me they were digging deep for this complaint. On a 360 rotating vise you will find these more than adequate in my opinion. I have a pile of hackle pliars, all of which "Sort," of work. These are better in my opinion.

The jaws are too short. I have a feeling it will snip the feather like a blade.

They look well built but far too big!!
They really do not impede tying though! Look how small they are compared to the large English hackle pliers!
And you can actually shorten that tubing if you want a smaller finger hole! Sorry- I forgot to mention that above!
