I am also in 4-H and showing poultry! I have to say you did a wonderful job! You knew the breed and a lot of extras! Who ever is judging you should for sure give you a Blue in Poultry showmanship!
An excellent presentation on this bird! My sister brought me a hen for a pet...-she's past egg producing age, but still a great worker out in the yard, continually poking and scratching for bugs and such.. A peaceful quiet disposition, and seems to be bred to stay rather close to their "human-in-charge." Mine has a very impressive game-bird look or feathering and profile...Certainly a show-bird breed.. She won 1st in specialty feathering at the fair!
