I remember watching that forge world video on IGN and seeing the Falcon fly across the whole thing. My jaw dropped. And I knew this game was going to be special…

Reach was the game that made my parents think I should go outside lol. I sank so many hours into every aspect of this game. A true masterpiece

Best Halo scenes and soundtrack, as a whole. The moment Winter Contingency hits, the immersion is drowning us and we’re happily lost in the world of Reach
Best Halo multiplayer, maybe even one of the best multiplayer experiences in gaming history.
Best Halo game. Ever. Believable cast players got invested in, because they HAD to fit into an already established team.
Loved it even more as we were not some “one man super army” (aka Hollywood bulls***). Love Chief, but from a realistic standpoint, his story doesn’t hold a candle to that of Noble Team. Not. Even. Close

Loved Reach. Can honestly say I wasn't a fan of how they designed the spartans and their characters. They didn't seem like the mythical super soldiers like other spartans and felt more like some special forces team. I understand they are a different breed of spartan, but they sure didn't act like they had spent an entire lifetime in the military. They'd have benefitted from more reserved dialog and a more imposing physical design.

Maybe, and not to be the "according to the lore 🤓" guy, but the spartan 3's were all orphans from the covenant and most/all had behavioral problems. In the books, when the S3's were first introduced as kids getting trained, the kid whose POV you were following almost killed another kid who barely bullied him. They had to have multiple adults separate them or they'd have killed eachother. So already they have personality "problems" and to make things worse, their spartan augmentations leaned into that, and made them MORE animalistic and aggressive, in an attempt to increase survivability. Basically, they're all moody orphans who were made more aggressive. So by the selection process and augmentation process they were made to be very different from the spartan 2's like the master chief who were like robots. They WERE more vulnerable, as they were designed to be more disposable. The UNSC wanted cheaper Spartans they could throw at the covenant. So again, not to be that guy, but they were more vulnerable and moody by design, but it's fair if you didn't like that!

Hands down bungies biggest disappointment. Noble team and their story was great but only a couple missions (new Alexandria mainly) had the big fights they were talking about.

The worst Halo game Bungie made (still very good!)

@@marshallmarvin1369 ODST's campaign is miles better than Reach for me.

@@marshallmarvin1369only if you’re including multiplayer because odst had none. IMO the story for reach was good but the gameplay of the campaign itself not so much. The encounters felt a lot like cod, point and shoot then run to the next shooting gallery. Odsts campaign was supposed to be different whereas reach should’ve been more of a return to form instead of a destiny hybrid experiment.
