From your video I did it myself today and your my hero... worked like a charm, came out like new. i have a 2 1/2 story and had to use a mr long arm pole with a brush and did a bit different then you but does that mixture work. cost me 1.99 for the Bleach had the soap..thank you

    I keep this same set up for small houses. No need in pulling out the big rig if you can walk around the house with this, do a rinse and be done with amazing results. Save time and money. Work smarter not harder!!!

    Been using a similar method for years on my house. Concentrated bleach, CAR WASH and dawn. There are some great surfactants in the car wash that loosen dirt. I hit the stubborn spots with a pole mounted brush. My son and I can do the whole hose in an hour and a half. Respray the tannin-streaked areas (lots of oak trees) with a little more spray and let the sunlight do the rest. It takes more time to get he pressure washer out, move it around and clean it for storage than to do the whole house.

    a friend of ours did this to our house 4 months ago usually we see green mold on the house about a month after a soap and water wash and now its been about 4 months and still looks good. we can do it next time after we seen how easy it was to do. who would of known bleach and water and a drop of dawn could do this. im loving this idea.

    I used your formula today and it worked great! I mixed two batches (1/2 gall of sodium chloride with 3 gallons of water) and was enough to do my single-story ranch (1,223 sq ft).

    You the man. Mildew on the north side of a vinyl sided house. Used a Chapin 4 gallon battery operated sprayer. Have a good gas pressure washer but wanted to try your mix in a similar sprayer. Went to Dollar General and bought bleach for a buck a gallon. Used your mix of a half gal. of bleach and 3 oz. of Dawn. Worked like a miracle. Yuck is gone. Great idea. Thanks much.

    Been using this cleaning method for years. Works great on vinyl siding. What amazes me is that people that aren't allergic to wasps can destroy their home and not get stung. I can walk into a demo storage building in Lowe's parking lot and end up in the emergency room. Lol

    As someone who owned a exterior cleaning business for years I am happy to see you use Sh instead of the weak bleach so it kills the mold off well. Only other tip is I would let others know to always wet down any plants before they do this and be sure to rinse the plants when down.. Good job Dan good demo for all ...... it great to use on concrete also that is slimey and that is a major health / safety hazard

    Good cleaning job, well explained video, right to the point. The only thing I would caution about, is maybe water down the grass, or if any plants, below the cleaning area, and be careful spraying directly against any electrical boxes. Thanks

    i dont know why your video showed up in my feed but it did last night. im guessing the 81 dislikes are people that rip us off for power washing. i did this to my house this morning. 3 side were easy because they get sun every day the 4th side was bad and when i say bad the side of the house was green. i did 3 gal water 1/2 gal of pool bleach 8% and soap. the said that was real bad i did 3 gal water 1 gal of bleach and a little more soap. i am blown away took me about 4 hrs . your sir get a huge thumbs up from me.

      What's up with bashing the guys that work for a living just because you can't afford it don't want to afford their services? Those people could also have 2 and 3 story houses that could make this technique a lot harder to do without a tall ladder which some are very uncomfortable with. Everyone could can mow their own lawn, but some people pay for that service too. So unless you build your own car, home, television as well as maintain everything and make new parts, you should really think twice about taking a verbal swing at a working man. Because real men don't do that.

    I've used Clorox clean-up spray on cement concrete and it worked perfectly. I didn't mix it in that situation with dawn but those are the only 2 cleaners I that I do mix on a daily basis it works great when you have to take the grease or oil of the plastic containers you store food in or the thick plastic plates the kids eat off or those thick hard plastic cups. 👌

    My first house wash was on a Sunday morning at 7 am. As I was unloading my stuff and getting set up, a woman across the street started making loud bitchy comments about the pressure washer I hadn't started yet. She finally got up the courage to ask me if I was "going to start that thing up at 7 am on a Sunday?" I told her I'd save the pressure washing for last, so it's be a while. I then washed every bit of the house I could reach with my tank sprayer and the garden hose. Took me over twice as long as it would have had I used the pressure washer, but you're right. There's no way you want tick off the neighbors that early. As the woman was pulling out of the driveway I was mixing up some more bleach in my sprayer and she told me she took down my number and said she'd probably call me for a house wash. After I completed the whole job the next door neighbor asked me for a card. It pays off to be respectful.
    I just did a job Saturday that was supposed to be for $290, but he asked if I could wash his 5th wheel too. I told him $30 bucks and he agreed. I got it as clean as I could with your mix, but it had stains that wouldn't come out. I even tried a spot to see if pressure would work, but no luck. It looked lots better, but it was not what I was hoping for. I told him I couldn't charge him for the 5th wheel because I wasn't satisfied with how it turned out and he said, "you did what you can, I'll have to figure out how to get rid of the stains" and insisted on paying me for it. After I was finished he said he'd call me for more work in the future and that he'd texted my info to one of his friends and that the guy who was there helping him tear out the pool deck said he'd be calling me for some work too. I ended up getting $320 for 6 hours of doing something I really enjoy doing, got lots of exercise and 2 good possibilities on future work. I'm definitely going to invest in a 4 GPM unit ASAP though. That will save me quite a bit of time when rinsing and using the surface cleaner.

    Hi there. In South Aftica I buy 16% sodium hypochlorite and it’s fine. If the neat product gets on your skin it just burns slightly, just go and rinse it off with water or you can use soap. I use it neat I the showers and bathrooms. I also use it on old painted cupboards in any houses I live in. It removes the dirt and leaves it in the natural colours of the paint. I use it as a weed killer on the edges of driveways and paved pathways, this I dilute just to make it go further. I use 1.5lts of SHC to 5lts water. I’ve used this product neat for 9 years now.

      I've found the majority of plants are _a lot_ more resilient than people typically think.
      Also, this chemical exposure is not something that would even be a very frequent occurrence.

    I mix half Clorox bleach and half portions water in my garden sprayer to spray my sidewalk and driveway each spring. We get a lot of mold and mildew here in western Oregon. It only takes about an hour to do the entire front property. Neighbors who use gas power washers take all day just to clean the driveway. And I do it without all that annoying noise. I hate the sound of gas power washers.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do that as well but I don’t use soap the only problem is the bleach ruins the sprayer. Maybe the soap will stop that from ruining the sprayer. It says right on the instructions do not use bleach in sprayer but I don’t care it’s cheaper than a power washer. I have to buy a new-sprayer ever year. Well I’m glad I watch this I’m going to put soap in mine this year maybe the soap Will save my sprayer. Thanks!

    This is similar to a Jungle Formula that they’ve used to get mould off and keep it away! As you can imagine, jungle is the perfect place for mould to thrive, but you make a “thirds” mix with bleach ammonia and “dish soap” as you Yanks call it (we call it washing up liquid!); spray that on where there’s mould and you will not get mould back! But as anyone will tell you, ventilation is the biggest preventative of mould......but where that’s not possible, this works! If the fumes don’t kill you first!

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว
