  • This is the 1 gallon Aquaculture corner view fish tank kit from Walmart forr about $13 usd. They also have a 2.5 gallon Aquaculture Corner View tank for about $10 more. I highly recommend AGAINST buying either of these and would spend about $30 for the Aquaculture 5 or 10 gallon standard aquarium kits. Thanks for watching:)

Nice discouragement for those that bought it already anyways there was a little USB plug by the battery thing so you don’t have to use batteries that was cool

I have one of these tanks I don't think it's a bad as you make it out to be. I do agree that no fish should ever be in a 1 gallon aquarium; I used it for raising fry, quarantine new fish, & as a temporarily tank when I do a deep cleaning of the regular aquarium. The fish are usually kept in that thank no more than 2 hours or less. I believe that they have their place in the hobby.

You actually talked me into buying this tank. However, I'm going to use it for growing carnivorous plants and just want the filter to keep the water airated, so if it breaks no big deal I can just replace it with an air stone. With some small modifications, it looks like the perfect container for my sun dews to grow the plants but keep my cats out of the plants. Plants will be the only living things I ever place in such a tank.

I got one of these to put snails in, they breed like crazy but I like them as pets, so I keep the "surplus" in a smaller tank. I think it's fine enough for small pest snails to hang out in

Maybe the base of the filter is just supposed to sit on top of the substrate, and that would lift the tube high enough to connect to the top section?

The filter is so frustrating… I came here to see if you had any recommendations for it but it’s so shitty as I can clearly see

I say aleast a 2 gallon for one or two smaller fish that are not too active.

maybe good for isolation hospital single betta quarantine scenario
i might go that route for my ailing betta.
otherwise way too small for fish.
    as you mentioned.

Considering that betas are stocked and sold in tiny cups I doubt this is too small for a beta

It will make a good hospital tank.

Yup, the light pooped out pretty quickly and overall crappy setup. I'm gonna return it, as we didnt have it long. It was not working right, the light or the filter. Wish I had seen this video first. We bought it quickly without research, as my son won a gold fish at the fair. His sister and cousin won a fish too, but they expired. My sons fish is still kicking, but I felt the fish tank was not working right, so moved him back in his smaller tank till we get a better working quality tank. Hope he survives 😅

better for the fish, but probably still a so-so tank. I'd spend a bit more and get the 5 or 10 gallon Aquaculture tank kits.

I've never bought that tank before, but I have bought a 1 gallon tank for a fish before. It was a temporary QT tank for a sick baby betta. Sadly the baby betta passed while I was at the store buying the tank.
I ended up keeping the tank, but I just used it to grow Ancharis plants. It grew the plants just fine, but it's really hard *not* to grow Ancharis...

there was 0 good arguments made in this video lol. Beta's are literally in TINY cups at every pet store ever for weeks and then are taken home to be put in small decorative glass jars 🫙 for aesthetics lol. this is good for someone who wants one or two small fish and doesnt wana have to put a giant tank for just that

    • @Fredsreviews58
      @Fredsreviews58  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Putting bettas in small tanks can also shorten their life spans, not to mention they are WAY more active in larger tanks.
