I lucked out and got one of these at a community sale at the VFW for a dollar it had light use there was no scratches in it and it looked like somebody just used it once and got tired maybe they overcrowded it I've been quite lucky I've only lost one fish since August it's now the end of November I added a small everything works really good since I have a few larger aquariums this one's going to be a birthing tank

You made a good find. I found a 1 gal one at a garage sale for $5 a while back.

I recommend at least a 5 gal tank for any fish. 2.5 is certainly too small even for one small fish. And beta can only live by themselves! I also recommend a heater, live plants, and a bubbler so the fish have oxygen.

I cannot find the correct filter cartridges anywhere for this tank. Can anybody help? And small filters are still too big

There were filters at the Walmart where I bought mine. Try another Walmart
