    I genuinely admire your videos and are your channel is among the very few gardeners that I completely trust! Requesting you to do do similar videos on other exotic plants like cryptanthus, cissus discolor, begonias etc. Thanks so much!

      Glad you liked it and thank you so much for your words. For fertilizer, we can also use Osmocote. I tried to buy it online..too costly :-(

    Wow. What is humidity levels in summers in your place? We get hot and dry and baked in summers. I wonder if my plant can survive summers. Even I rarely see orchids in nurseries.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My place is quite humid :-( The average is around 82% but it goes up to 98.5%. That's a lot..really unbearable..

    Thank you sir for good information please let me know that can spry NPK in a day time

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are most welcome and sir is not necessary actually! Well, it's better to avoid spraying during the daytime. During sunset or very early morning is preferred. But not a big deal either even if you spray in daytime as Orchids won't be there under direct sunlight.

  • @Kperiongnga

    Other than pine trees bark,what are the other options,among tree barks?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well...Pine Bark is recommended one and I also used it as it's available online and I don't have any other sources to collect bark from other matured plants. If you are able to collect matured bark from other plants, of course you can use them...Good Luck :-)

      @@GardeningUpbeatI live in a village in Meghalaya so options are plenty.

      @Mimi-ek9nm, Meghalaya..that's great :-) We often go to Cherrapunji and Shillong as I am from Ghy! I wanted to collect some unique plants from Meghalaya..but I am not active on social media and don't have friends from Meghalaya. If you can provide me some info about the places where I can find some unique plants, I would really appreciate it. My Email id - gardeningupbeat[at]gmail.com and I am also available on Insta - instagram.com/gardeningupbeat/
      [Not much active but I would come to know if you send me msg] Just a special request from a friend from your neighborhood state :-)

    What fertilizer should we give to orchid plants

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NPK 19:19:19 is enough (1 teaspoon in 1 liter water and then spray everywhere) Or else, you can also use something like as shown on this short video - th-cam.com/users/shortsTysfE8wlu90

    Are you in a humid region? My orchids are very dry, so their aerial roots always dry out after I get them from nursery. I tried all sorts of watering schedules and nothing seems to help.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah..you are right. Too humid place. Since roots dry quickly, you can increase the Moss in potting mix as it retain moisture for much longer comparing to other components. Wish you all the best!

    Hey can you suggest sites where orchids can be purchased at cheap rates? If you're Assamese, where can I buy orchids for reasonable price in Guwahati?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm...Orchids are quite costly and so far haven't found any online source where I can get them in much cheaper rate. Though, Dendrobium Orchids are cheaper than Phalaenopsis Orchid (which is in the video). Hoy..moi Axomare para hoy :-) Reasonable rate - Nurseries in Sonapur area. Tathapi..min 800 hoba :-(

      No problem..you can replace it with Wood Charcoal. Or even other 3 components can be also used..
