I just admire how you demonstrate your knowledge in taking care of this specific plant. Today I will be using your instructions and see the results. Hopefully it turns out well. Thanks for sharing.
It's funny how in some countries too much light is a problem , and for others it's the oposite !! I live in France and i struggle with lack of light in my house !! This video was great !! I really enjoyed seeing the result of the rescue ! Thanks 😊
Thank you so much Gardening Upbeat. My once beautiful large Anthurium is dying like the one in the video. Following your advice, I have just repotted it. I used a composition of various mediums that I have at home that I think will accommodate its needs: Orchid bark; compost; clay beads; cork and vermiculite. The plant separated naturally into three smaller ones, so I made up one pot for each. Hopefully, they will be happy in their new medium and pots. I've been wanting to do something about the dying plant for some time, but until your video I couldn't see what it's problem was. Now I understand that Anthurium is an epiphyte. Thanks for a very clear and helpful video.
Quick and to the point! Thank you for sharing this. My anthurium has been struggling, and I think it's because of the potting soil I've been using. Going to try out your tips.
I saw a beautiful purple anthurium today for a great price and always wanted to try them. I immediately searched for this video for care information when I brought it home. Thank you so much!
I just got an anthurium and it was potted in a terrible medium. I repotted and it's clearly having a hard time. I'm going to try to clean up the roots and hopefully it will bounce back. Thanks for the video!
Very nice, to the point and informative video. What I do is.. While washing the roots, I add some SAAF type anti fungal for better results. Will be helpful
@Chaitanya Srivastava, Sure we can add them and that actually helps the plant :-) Sure, for guzzmania also we can do similar way. Thank you very much for the feedback and good luck :-)
Thank you very much! We can repot in winter, no issue. But for Spider mites, you would need to apply Pesticide, not fungicide. Good luck! Here you would get many ideas about pesticide/insecticide - th-cam.com/video/aeuTt2LWdls/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing..i also have that kinds of plants..niw its getting better..i only use organic soil and garden soil plus fertilzer..im a first timer in.planting that kind of plants..anthoriums.
I got 4 from Home Depot at a nice discount. They just needed water. They have blooms and are under cheap grow lights. I will be replanting soon. I like how thick their roots are.
Like that you include the assistant....this is very good for them...she will make a beautiful garden for you in your older years.....good seeds good results
Sorry for the very late reply..I was already working on that video but couldn't upload earlier as I try my best to provide updates in most of my videos. Just uploaded today and here it is - th-cam.com/video/rslUdGkXiEU/w-d-xo.html Thank you for your interest and Sir is not required actually!
@BLOOMBLUSH BELCONY, Most welcome and I already have one which uploaded long back and here it is - th-cam.com/video/UdVUTqTa6lU/w-d-xo.html I would do another where I would cover everything starting from seeds! Thank you :-)
Thank you sooooooo much I feel so sad I was going through a bad time and I was being harassed by my neighbor and treated badly and my landlord wasn't doing anything about it so I had got really sad and started to forget a lot of things to do that I really like so this is the picture of my anthoriums now and I'm going to do what you told me to do and I'm going to fix it I'm sorry it looks cuz I'm not sure how to do that we all make mistakes at first I did good and then they got like this so I'm going to reach out to you and hopefully I can do this the right way.
We can cut them if only and only there is no any green part..or else, better not to cut them as green part still helps the plant. It's bit different than other fast growing plants like Hibiscus....the growth rate of Anthurium is very slow comparing to many other plants and so it's better not to remove any green part of the leaves. Thank you and I am glad you called me brother..hope, you and everyone in your family is doing great, TC :-)
Hi chandan,d video came at d right time when my anthuriums r not doing well.i do not have vermicompost.pls give me d link for online shopping. Tq v much
@jayashree murthy, Glad to know and thank you very much for your words. I am really sorry for being unable to help...I buy Vermicompost from local nurseries as online they are bit costly. So, really not sure about the quality of those which are available online. I actually don't feel good to recommend anything which I haven't use myself. But still, I believe you can try small quantity of Vermicompost from Trustbasket (is available on Amazon). Their overall products are satisfactory....
My Calathea right now looks exactly how your Anthurium looked at the beginning of this video. 😭 It was in a soil rich medium which was too heavy. I've now moved it to a cocopeat+compost medium and placed it in a bright area. Is there something else I should do?
@Scrappittarius, Could you please wait for 2 more days? My video is almost ready and I just need to record the last clip. It's exactly on the same topic n I would try my best to provide all info..
My butterdaisy is dying. The leaves and flowers are dried. Its very hot here and it rains heavily in the evening. I tried putting the pot in the shade away from the sun and the rain but still unable to see any result. Any ideas
