There trully isn't much content about ballpoint pen art, so I want to Say that You are like a lighthouse for all of us who wants to get into this wonderful techniques, thanks You so much
Wow! Love how you simplify shading with hatching and I really love your laid back, positive attitude! Very encouraging and informative!! Thanks so much for your time and sharing your skills and talent with us!
from watching this video i actually learned so much and i did a drawing of corey taylor form slipknot and it looks so much more realistic and smooth than any other of my drawings thankyou so much this has helped so much with my art and im starting my gcse art this year i will definetly be watching more
Superb video as usual, do you always recommend short pen strokes for shading with a biro and do you lift the pen for each new stroke or is this not necessary when you’ve got a few layers down
Do you have any literature or artists you can recommend for master studies or learning to draw with ink? Engravings also count, most of the techniques from them are applicable to pen drawings as well from my observation
To be honest, I haven’t looked for any resources for ink drawing. I’m self taught, so everything I learn was from learning from my failures. Proko might have content on how to draw with a pen
I've been learning to use pen recently but my problem is that i can't keep hatching without the ink getting too dark, i use no pressure at all and just use a flick of the wrist i want it to be smooth but not dark

Great video, do you use also mixed media or watercolor paper for graphite drawings ?
I use both. I tend to lean more towards mixed media paper
Michael, what size ballpoint pen do you use, .05, .07 or 1.0 or doesn’t it matter?
That's a great question. To be honest, I'm not sure. It really doesn't matter. As long as it feels comfortable to you
Thank you Michael, much appreciated.

@@TheRayerrr I’ll tell you to try using your fingers to hatch instead of your wrist. I find hatching with your fingers allows more control
Good day sir please i need your help on the free resources or resources you told me about.
When do you choose to cross hatch
When I want to finish a drawing faster. Cross-hatching allows me to draw my dark values quicker
😍😍😍😍
🙌🏽
Can I pay for 1on 1 lessons
