The song never get's old because It's "Life" and as long as life goes on, so will this song. Agnetha is a goddess, she own's this, many have performed this song but nobody will ever get close to Agnetha.
One of the greatest songs of all time- certainly the greatest pop ballad- ever! Everything is brilliant! Music, lyrics, vocals, and- AGNETHA! How can we not simply fall in love?!! Bravo!!!
How Agnetha kept her composure during the recording and filming of this song is testament to the beautiful artist she is as well as the other members of the group. You have to remember that she had been through a divorce and to have been able to get through this performance would have been extremely raw and emotional for her including the other members of the group. No matter how many times you hear this it never gets old. The lyrics and music are just as relevent and meaningful today as they were back when this was released. ABBA have a universal appeal that continues to outdo many of today's performers. Their music has the unique ability to make you feel overwhelmed with joy and sadness at the same time. They are the soundtrack to both past generations who were fortunate enough to witness their humble beginnings as well as a whole group of younger generations who are just beginning to experience the absolute pure joy and happiness their music brings. And like a fine wine they just keep getting better with age. Long may they reign!
She does absolutely everything well. She's authentic and she sings with great poise, passion and panache. The Winner Takes It All is an incredibly deep and emotional song. It almost affects me viscerally. The crescendo at the end is a killer.
ABBA is considered to be one of the largest in music history with over 400 million records sold and is one of the few artists to have succeeded across all the continents of the earth. In the mid-1970s, they were the most successful pop group in the world in all categories. Abba has almost 70 singles as lists all over the world and over 60 albums. In the UK they had 19 straight top 10 singles, 10 singles and nine albums as no. 1 on the British top list of which eight are in succession (1975, -76, -77, -78, -79, -80, -81, -82). In 2014, the group had sold 400 million records and is thus Sweden's most successful music export of all time,
Roger - ABBA did not have a UK No.1 Album in 1975. They had 2 UK No.1 Albums in 1979. They were 'Voulez-Vous' and 'Greatest Hits Vol.2'. They had 9 UK No.1 Singles - not 10. Perhaps you are counting 'One Of Us'? That reached No.3 in the 'Official' UK Charts. It was a January 1982 No.1, (1 Week), in the 'New Musical Express' Chart, but that Chart was a rival, to the 'Official' Charts, and was not regarded as 'Official'. ABBA also had an 11th No.1 Single, in that Chart, when 'Chiquitita' was a 1 Week No.1, in 1979. But that was a No.2 Hit, in the 'Official' Chart, which was used by the BBC, TV Shows and UK Chart Books...

It's no documentary though. Björn wrote it in an slightly intoxicated state. He said himself it was fiction, although inspired by his own as well as Agnetha's experiences and feelings. He sang it himself first, in the studio, but soon realized Agnetha probably would do it better.

Agnetha sings with pure CONVICTION!!! When she's singing about a situation...whether it be happy or sad, you feel it with her! She can convey emotion like not many other singers I've ever seen. The tro of break up songs as I call them, This was written by Bjorn for Agnetha after their divorce, it's actually her favourite ABBA song,. That is why it's so emotivly sung,. You rock Derek...handsome too ❤️
Timeless...
Your reactions are so good, I’m addicted, try “Tropical Loveland”, Frida leads, and ABBA does Reggae!, you’re gonna love it.
I started listening to you again.
True story - true emotions.
Agnetha and Björn were a married couple with 2 kids and at the time this video was recorded, they had recently divorced and Björn already had a new woman. Björn co-written this song and Agnetha feels every single word she's singing. Just a masterpiece
Love ABBA.
Hard to believe they were actually (both couples) going through divorce as they wrote this song.
Still pulled it off amazingly
Agnwtha mi preferida siempre. Este tema fue el comienzo del fin de abba
The happy-sad undulations in the song are reflective of the ebb and flow of life.
Good reaction........
The tro of break up songs as I call them, This was written by Bjorn for Agnetha after their divorce, it's actually her favourite ABBA song,. That is why it's so emotivly sung,. When All Is Said And Done was written by Benny when he and Frida divorced and finally One Of Us, was about both break ups. These are amongst the best songs written by the boys., From the heart and from heartbreak
