50 years ago I discovered The Who by listening The Overture from Tommy. It was in 1973 and I was 14. On June 23rd 2023 their show started by this sale song. And I was there, seeing The Who on stage for the first time. This moment was mahic!
Wow..Roger Daltrey still after all the years just unbelievable...just great..just keep on doing what you are doing Roger Daltrey. I remember you practicing at our school the brooke in the early days I didn't get to see you but my mates did..I was gutted..keep on rocking fella great voice...
Daltrey has STILL got his rock voice he had from the 70's. And he is in his late 70's. Yes, it's not the original 4 guys but the quality of this music is still superb.
If anyone is curious enough have a look on an interview Pete gave in 1979. He virtualy said performing at the age of 60 would be unlikely ha ha Fortunately he forgot that, as these dinosaurs always do, and I could see them live at Desert Trip. :)
He was trying to perform which at the age of 79 isn’t the easiest thing to do. He still sounds excellent for his age yet seemingly the majority of the front row’s we’re giving a running commentary of the show. Seems as if daltrey wanted to be anywhere but performing for them which is understandable
An incredible performance from both Daltray and Townsend (and their band and orchestra) who are still willing (in their mid / late 70s) to get up on stage and give a great show
Oh Roger, what have the years done to you? But, hey man you and Peter are still the Best! Love reign over all Who fans everywhere across the world and known universe! Yeah still Can't explain, but spreading across miles and miles, the bargain, the best you're ever gonna get you Pinball Wizards!
@Mrdreb44620 I don’t know sitting here in the USA but my best guess would be that someone close to the stage was smoking 🚬 & Roger in his later years has shown to get irritated with audience members who do so because it’s effects his voice and singing abilities!
Roger still has the voice and the attitude. Pete can still play. A little disturbance in the crowd that Roger handled quite well. Long Live Rock and Long Live The Who.. )^_-)/
He’s losing his mind. Walked off stage in anger in Clearwater Florida earlier this year during After the Fire sounded great to me but he wasn’t happy about something. This is astounding however!
Looking back on the Hyde Park gig of 2015, think that would have been a good part in their career to wind it down. They could have gone out on an absolute high, sadly it now looks like they’re going out on a whimper. Roger looking tired and irritable, Pete just going through the motions. I mean, do they really NEED to do this anymore ?
Well.... Daltrey at least doesn't stoop so low as to go bluegrass / country / single vocal range moaning like one of his unnamed contemporaries does ..... and sounds like Pete can still use his hands.
Roger was telling the Security to FU@K off not the crowd who paid good money because he was pushing women and kids about down the front who all wanted to have a good time at the show.
Daltry and Townsend beautiful performance late 70s incredible great voice ❤

Exactly the same story for me, I'll turn 63 in a few days and finally my dream came true. My favourite rock band ever, live, and it is unforgettable.

Incredible voice nearly 80 what an ending to a concert ❤❤❤
J’y étais, un grand moment
Still preforming at nearly 80, still sounds good to me, and it's THE WHO, come on its rock and roll history up there👍👍👍
Amazing quality video…..thank you
13:45 The amazing Katie Jacoby !!!
The Baba O'Riley performance is absolutely incredible!!! Long Live The Who and Rock!!!
I love ending shows with Tea and Theatre.
All Who songs are such classics! Amazing band!
Omg this is an incredible vocal and guitar performance by daltrey and townshend even in there 70s they're the real deal
Daltry is 79, amazing
I've had the pleasure of seeing them three times...they will always be my favorite live band ever..
Never seen such a sexy violin! ❤
The Who , the best !!!!!

He does not have his 70’s voice. Were you there? I was Saratoga’72.
tea & theatre is heavy. they still got it
Unbelievable! Just at a loss for words! 😮
Tea and theatre is the best song to finish on for Pete and Rog. It’s perfect
In 2008 tours,it was very emotional

The Who playing with an orchestra is like Jimi Hendrix playing with a school choir..give me the who in late 60s any day
I prefer them stripped down to the band itself as well, but even the Beatles used an orchestra for Day in the Life
I was at the 16th row. I didn't see what caused Daltrey's anger. Does someone knows ?
@Mrdreb44620 I don’t know sitting here in the USA but my best guess would be that someone close to the stage was smoking 🚬 & Roger in his later years has shown to get irritated with audience members who do so because it’s effects his voice and singing abilities!
Pete looks like Cat Stevens!

Hah! at 2:06 Roger tells someone Fuck-off!
Have you got the beginning of the show ?
He’s losing his mind. Walked off stage in anger in Clearwater Florida earlier this year during After the Fire sounded great to me but he wasn’t happy about something. This is astounding however!
Rogers back
sérieusement la honte la ptasse qui gueulait jusqu'a ce que daltrey lui dise shut up! such a shame!
U peeps are brutal
I love the Who but it's time to rely on memories.

Money talks

Bluegrass lol
Telling those who paid good money to fu#k off,is not a good sight to see, what did they do wrong?
Roger was telling the Security to FU@K off not the crowd who paid good money because he was pushing women and kids about down the front who all wanted to have a good time at the show.
Nocomment just fans appreciate they should retire in glory
Time to pack it in Lad's Sad...
Sorry spectacle.
Yes you are
