- Jonathan Alvarez ~ the Heart & Soul of this years Lake Tahoe Flow Arts Festival. Positive, modest & grateful, full of light and madly skilled are a few words to describe this dear soul who has now captured the hearts of North Lake Tahoe and beyond! Here is his "first ever" performance for a crowd with 3 Flowtoys "Pod Poi" ~ truly Brilliant!!!

@@lauramartinez1043 You can buy them at Flowtoys.com Jonathan here use the Podpoi V1 but V2 got released and I truely tell you Podpoi V2 are the best purchase ever you can do in your life :^p they are really awesome in every way! (also V2 is Podpoï V1 with an update firmware within it) They are not that easy to control tho because there is one button for a lot of features and modes, but it can be handle not that hard!
Also for people here I can tell you Poï change my life, in so many aspect, but what is the most enjoyable thing for me is that i am able to choregraphy music, I started poï since 2013/14 maybe and I took like 15/20 months before being ok with Poï and songs. Years went on and well the practice too, now when I do poï I just synchronize with the music waveform and i just spin as the song go, it is a feeling that give me these cold goosebump going throught all the body even under 38°C (True fact lol! I could'nt believe it)
Thank you for being an idol. Not to instigate anything, but when I just found poi, I was worried my weight would get in the way and i wouldn't be able to do. You sir, are proving that wrong to me. Anyone can do poi no matter what, and I hope you realize not only do you inspire me you inspire others to practice more and get better at poi. Thank you for rekindling a new dying fire.

One of the best poi performances I've stumbled upon on all the internet. I'd love to see what he could do with some fire poi.
+Grateful James well he wouldn't be able to have fire handles, and gunslingers are a pretty huge part of his style. he was also holding the heads pretty regularly throughout this routine, and had a couple contact rolls in there too. I think it's arguable that a better show than with fire poi can be put on with pods with capsule handles (or equivalent).
Devon Cellars Yea but fire is fire. It's hot, raw, natural, powerful and intense. To me fire will always make for a better show, especially in person. And he could obviously handle it lol! But yeah either way he puts on a damned good show!

+Jessica How do which not clash? With 2, it's fairly easy, with some practice. Timing of when the poi cross each other.
3 poi... I'd have to watch it a few times, and do it myself... I'm thinking subtle hand motions move the double poi in different directions. And lots of practice :)
