Wow, that UPS store on the corner was a Mailboxes Etc PO BOX place in the late 80’s and 90’s and now looks like the UPS store left that location too. Didn’t know that What-a-lotta pizza place was a chain bcz there’s one by where I live too. That $1 bookstore was a Mormon Deseret Book Store back in the early 90’s. Miss that Burger King where the Starbuck’s is now. The cat clinic used to be a Polar Yogurt shop in the late 80’s-worked there for 2 weeks just out of High School, LOL. Never been in the Tartan restaurant either. Still cannot fathom the Orange Mall being demolished. History being erased once again :(
Great video of local business. It is hard to find used bookstore these days, and I'm going to make a visit to “$1 Plus Bookshop” since not far from my work!
How you're REALLY in my neck of the woods! I shop at the Vons weekly. Whatalotta Pizza is a good cheap pizza, and that's a good UPS store. I also love a good used bookstore. The print store used to be a solon called Addictions. The cigar/water store is a good place to buy lottery tickets. It used to be next to the Tatern Room, which I've eaten at several times. With red leather seats, and dark lighting, it's stuck in the 70's, but that just creates its cool vibe. I've been to the new ice cream store a couple of times. It's expensive, but good ice cream. I had to giggle that the Village of Orange put up their Christmas Tree where the old entrance used to be next to Red Robin. Sears owns the land the remaining mall entrance stands on, which is why it sits there alone. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like Sprouts and Home Goods are expanding? Home Goods for sure looks like it's expanding to the edge of the old Sears entrance. Panda Mart is a South African-based chain that's similar to Big Lots and you're right, it's the first one in the US. The owner of the JC Penney building is still waiting for approval to put in housing. It's funny because the area residents are opposed to dense housing because of the additional traffic, but the same group was hopeful Costco would move in. And they don't want more traffic?? Thanks again for a great video!! BTW: I also miss Burger King. I'm not a Starbucks fan and the drive-thru often creates gridlock at the entrance off Tustin.
Thank you for this video I use to be the property guard here for a security company called general security I miss this shopping center was here in 2018/19
My grandparents ranch was at Lincoln and 55 fwy from shell stn to deltaco on Tustin before the 55 fwy was built and did you know. NAUGLES IS STILL IN BUSINESS

That cat clinic was a Dairy Queen. Great vid!
@@KramericaIndustries-jd9cy oh yeah. Not to many DQs around
I didn't know that! I moved to the area in 2007 so much have before been then. I remember the DQ at the Village of Orange and miss it.
I love this bookstore😍
The hid out book store
The bookshop is 600 feet from The Tartan Room. Someone I used to work with said that it was a local favorite. It’s a steakhouse.
@@DovidM i googled it & it look very good!
