Perhaps I will visit you soon. Have been there once for a windskate shooting in 2016. Really unique and beautiful atmosphere... Which wind direction is best? Around 20 knots would be great for a proper 100 km/h speed attempt I think :p
My buddy Mike and I built a home-made windskate back in the late 80's - a real challenge considering where gear technology was back then...it was super dangerous and hard to control (especially in 10-15 knots of wind), but a ton of fun. After a lot of bandages and road rash, we eventually figured out that we should wear knee & elbow pads - unfortunately wearing a helmet didn't occur to us!
Starkes Video! Aber komm Nico ne Duck jibe oder downwind 360 wären schon noch drin gewesen. Mega Cool das du aber auch neue Dinge ausprobierst und so noch mehr Abwechslung bietest! Daumen hoch
Very interesting. Have been Wind Skating almost 20 years, mostly sand and dirt after cracking a helmet on pavement. I wear hockey pads when on pavement. My converted mountain board has 10 inch wheels and allows for adjusting stiffness of trucks for front and back which is a big help transitioning from tricks to speed. With 4 wheels, wheel wobble is a problem at higher speeds. In USA, Hilton Head is a great spot. Please put up more videos on this. Thanks

Funny thing is 45kmh isn't that fast but scary as hell when you are doing it on a 1.50m wide bikelane with barbed wire on the side. One mistake and everything could have been ripped apart. But it was a lot of fun going this fast with a buddy who was landkiting on the other side of the barbed wire. I am able to go much faster now. But I never measure my speed. Honestly, if I could I'd windskate more than windsurf. On a good quality tarmac with a longboard it needs a tiny breeze for fun with gybes, tacks, 360s etc. I used mountain board as a session saver when going to beaches and expected it won't be good enough for windsurfing. Thanks for the informations and the picture! Are there any statistics about the speeds? 60 mph is f.. fast.. Would be happy about further informations. Thank you in advance! :)
I started off skateboarding, and will 100% try this at some point. I've seen a windsurf setup attached to skiis and used on ice, but this is a first. RIP the boom and sail though if you bail on the pavement!
Perfect, guys! Every windskater will love this video. Hardcore Windsurfers will kill me, but I think inflatable rigs also work well on land (of course not for what Anton does 🙂). You can have a look here how I try some windskating at the Rhine river bank in Cologne with my inflatable rig and a small longboard: th-cam.com/video/fMFj69Zx2r8/w-d-xo.html. The inflatable rig goes in a small backpack together with the skateboard and you don't have any rigging, just pump and go.
We sail these on the beaches and dry desert lakes here in California - super fun! You can buy boards made for skatesailing online from www.streetsailing.net These feature a wide, comfortable deck with Norbert Blanc speedsail trucks and wheels. Good as it gets.

google maps helps a lot ;)
MFG5 ist halt einfach nice für alles
Hey looking to get a land board. I looked at Trampa but those guys are shit at customer service. Looking for info on trucks bushings dampers or barrels.
I ice sail mostly in winter. But guts got 2 wings so looking to use a board other than my skate board
Any link to that board company?
Can you make more videos from wind skating
Maybe when we try to set an actual record. 70km/h plus should be possible. Let's see when I get to do it again.
Rollt!
schon irgendwie
Share concrete waves 😎 It‘s always cool to see some other ways of sailboarding
Also possible with old school sails 😀
@@Nico_GER7 next time I will have the original wooden boom
@@sharewavestv you need to get out more!
Better than me.
Nice Session! And New Mountain/ landboards coming soon to surf depot kiel in the the next weeks of Januar...☝check it....👍🤙

Gut zu wissen.. :)
Where is the new board reveal? We want to know!
what if this is the new board? 🤷♂️
Another setup I have seen is take a long board type skateboard and mount a 2 piece base to the deck.
yup 😊
Hat der Freestyle-Hering die bessere Technik oder ist der einfach nur 25 kg leichter? Nee, war´n Joke. Anton, super coole Moves 👍👍👍
beides vermutlich 😄
Can you do a video with Anton again? Maybe some freestyle windskate tutorials. I would love to know how to do this.
Good idea... :)
How do you gybe and then change foot position?
Just go switch in one direction
@@antonm7138 you do that anyway but the mast foot and foot straps don’t make it that simple
Mfg 5 Gelände beste
Speedsailing was more fun 30 years ago.... a speedsail had a 2m long deck with large plastic BMX bike wheels, and could easily reach 50-60mph, but on sand beaches. so more space, more fun!

Thanks for the informations and the picture! Are there any statistics about the speeds? 60 mph is f.. fast.. Would be happy about further informations. Thank you in advance! :)
Where can I buy the board?
google "mountainboard"
Fanatic or starboard
I started off skateboarding, and will 100% try this at some point. I've seen a windsurf setup attached to skiis and used on ice, but this is a first. RIP the boom and sail though if you bail on the pavement!
I’ve done it it works better with roller skate 🛼
Holy
...Moly
@@Nico_GER7 omgosh
I got a mountain board but I need a steel base plate
Get in contact with Anton, he’ll sell them to you
@@Nico_GER7 thank you so much
Sieht witzig aus - ich würde ss probieren
how to ride without a JP board ! 😅
😄😄
Perfect, guys! Every windskater will love this video. Hardcore Windsurfers will kill me, but I think inflatable rigs also work well on land (of course not for what Anton does 🙂). You can have a look here how I try some windskating at the Rhine river bank in Cologne with my inflatable rig and a small longboard: th-cam.com/video/fMFj69Zx2r8/w-d-xo.html. The inflatable rig goes in a small backpack together with the skateboard and you don't have any rigging, just pump and go.
Fantastic video of windskating but in my opinion you should wear a helmet and some other protections. Safety first!
Cheers Markus⛵🌞🤟
you're absolutely right. I pinned the respective comment to the top, so people are reminded.
@@Nico_GER7 thank you🌞
You're new board brand will be futerfly beat @nico
Who knows 🤷♂️
Have you ever speed surfed?
We sail these on the beaches and dry desert lakes here in California - super fun!
You can buy boards made for skatesailing online from www.streetsailing.net These feature a wide, comfortable deck with Norbert Blanc speedsail trucks and wheels.
Good as it gets.
What is the board? please answer
Mountainboard
