Was just hopping around on YT to see what’s new in Dunsmuir and here I am! I lived in Dunsmuir (next door to the old Travel Lodge) from 1973-76 AND then for 3 or 4 months my mother and I lived in the Dunsmuir motel until we found another place to live. The interior of the hotel was like going back 45 years and it had that Creepy odor, there was lots of green paint on the walls and old retirees sitting around. The nice part was the arcade is across the street and I could hang out there. There used to be a large high school that was on a connecting property but I see they tore it down decades ago. Thank you for your time. Kevin D.
Thank you so much for your video.. I have been to Dunsmuir a few times and really love that little town. I have always wondered about that building and wondered why somebody doesn't Invest the right amount of money into fixing it up and restoring it to its original beauty. The last 2 times I've been there it has been shut down.
I'm up un SHASTA every 3 months from Silicon Valley as love this mountain BUT DUNSMUIR a very charming town is SO HAUNTED!!! Businesses struggle there snd yet a FEW make it it's as if TIME STOPS THERE and tge History there vibrates CLEARLY. It leaves a very eerie feeling. Very Dimensional PORTALS if uou can FEEL THOSE kinds of energies
It’s a beautiful place for sure but you may enjoy Mt. Shasta city better, it’s amazing during the summertime but look out for lots of weirdos who’re into some weird cult, basically old hippies from the 60’s-70’s that moved up there. I lived in both places as a boy and left when I was 12 to move to Klamath Falls, OR. Dunsmuir will have more mild winter storms since the snow line is lower than Mt. Shasta which is around another thousand feet higher in elevation. The nearest large city is Redding which is a 45 minute drive along I-5. But make sure you have snow tires and/or a 4x4 vehicle and no, an AWD car is not a 4x4, they behave differently on ice. And if you ever venture out into the woods, make sure you have a firearm and a “3 day” emergency bag. A lot of new folks will feel brave and go explore their new surroundings and never tell anyone where they’re going then when problems hit, you’re screwed. It’s best to go with another vehicle and know basic off road driving skills and how to determine if a road can support your vehicle or not. I mention this because it happens a lot and I was on the Klamath County SAR and you’d be amazed at how people expected to be ready for a day trip into the woods in January while wearing flip flops and a sweatsuit, they usually have to walk a few hours before their cell phone will work but many don’t make it out. If you’re already well experienced then please forget what I said since you know what I’m talking about. Apologies for being so long winded.
. That's great advice. I live in Whittier, by the hills, and people forget to take water thinking it's an easy hike. It's not a bad hike but you should always be prepared, and wear layers.
My grandmother died there. She died knocking on neighbors door saying “I can’t breath” when she collapsed Emergency services didn’t get there for 45 minutes the power had gone out, and she was on oxygen. oxygen did not have battery back up. They left a huge oxygen tank in the corner of the room for emergencies which she could not turn the nozzle on. upset the whole family That this happened

It caught on fire back in 2022, maybe after this man filmed it.

Nice a haunted side!
Fantastic piece, will you be returning for The California Theatre piece as well? Please let me know, thank you!
Yes I will, I am recovering from an eye surgery but should be back to do the theater in December I hope.
I lived on Sacramento Ave. In the appts behind the police and fire station. There were orbs coming out of the doors, going right through them there.
The purple apts.
I used to live in Dunsmuir on River ave.
I'm glad to hear Kevin Spacey will be working on the movie. He's very talented.
Yeah for a chomo
I lived there for 30 years and never went inside the hotel. I wish I had.
Very awesome!! Would love to go and stay there! 👍😲

The evil in Dunsmuir cannot be overstated. It's the most evil place I've ever experienced. If you value your soul, don't go near it.
Kept hearing a woman laughing
.. Added for special effects.
I did the sound on that film! If you have any questions feel free to shoot them over!!!
Seriously! Watch the end credits!
Cool, thank you will do
I live in dunsmuir. Can you get me an acting gig?
@@HubCityMan I don’t live in Dunsmuir. Other coast lol but I can offer some advice if you’re actually serious!
That was the worst movie ever... Lol
