So far I've heard 4 songs from the upcoming new album and they're all good. Clearly "Saviors" is shaping up to be their best album since 2009's "21st Century Breakdown", or their most inspired since 2004's "American Idiot". More power to them, few bands are able to maintain such longevity over 3 decades of lulls in relevance or popularity. Also see their side-project The Network, those 2 albums are really cool.
As a teenager, my biggest wish was to meet these guys for real. As an adult, my biggest wish is to let them know about how many times their music saved my life. Green day has been part of me since 2004 and I can still remember the first time I heard BOBD on the radio. Thank you so much guys for everything
I feel exactly the same way, except I discovered them as a teen in the Dookie/Insomniac days. And i can’t tell you how much it means to me to see one of my favorite bands still around putting out awesome music and winning over new generations decade after decade. I remember arguing with my older cousin in 1995 or so that Green Day would still be around and bigger than ever 20+ years later, and she said they would fall off the face of the earth after one or two albums. Well, look who won that battle 😂
@@ninja_tony I remember arguing the same with my brother!! I told him when I was 13 that I'll be listening to green day for my entire life and he was like "tssssk that's not real music... Just commercial shit..." . So now that I'm 32...

@@alexanderanfilatov4457hey, I’ve been a fan since the mid 90’s as well, and Dookie, Insomniac, and ALL their albums hold a very special place in my heart, but I think these last few songs have been phenomenal. To me, it sounds like an older, wiser, more mature Green Day, but it still feels true to the roots of three guys from the bay getting together in high school to form a punk rock band. FOAM was maybe their low point musically, and that’s ok to admit, but I can’t hear these new songs and not argue that they are back in top shape once again, and arguably stronger than ever.
Loved this straight away, this feels more like their older stuff the way it sounds, that classic 90s Green Day sound like they gone back to their roots here, still got it never lost it to begin with 🔥🔥🔥
I like it when they're able to do some songs in the vein of their old stuff without just simply redoing it and this song nails it. It's like a grown up version of something they would have put on Dookie or Insomniac, the video is very Insomniac era. But they have kinda said that the whole album is like a culmination of everything they've done (Not really what they said but that's the jist I got) and is basically a bridge between Dookie and American idiot

I cant get enough of this track. I hope the rest of the album is a similar sound to this. Their last album wasn't for me at all. This is Green Day. Short & simple. I love it.

Absolute banger!! Love how this one jumps right into it
First the American Dream is Killing Me, and now Look Ma. The songs are getting better. I’m excited for Saviors
I gotta say, this is one of my favorite Green Day songs so far. Fast and catchy formula at its best. The lyrics are great too. I really love it!
Green Day are back! What a great sound this song has! :)

🤘🥳I can't wait for the new album!
Green Day time & time again cranking out amazing songs!
No wonder I've been a Hella Mega fan since I was a tiny kiddo...30+ years 🤯🤘🥰
Holy shit, Greenday went back to their classic sound. Bless up. This song is fucking awesome!
Sounds sick, not gonna lie, it has that iconic Green Day sound as always. Great job!
Thank you for not lying and telling the truth
I got a feeling that the album will be a hit because of the things that are happening today
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of The American Dream Is Killing Me, (maybe it will grow on me), but after hearing this now I am excited! Reminded me of State of Shock, and for me this is the Green Day that I personally love!
Absolutely love this!!! Reminds me of their older stuff, definitely getting this album!!
I can never get bored of these guys music. Ever since early 90s
One one the best green day bass lines in recent times!
I was thinking the same thing mikes bass needs to be more prominent like dookie insomniac nimrod
I cant get enough of this track. I hope the rest of the album is a similar sound to this. Their last album wasn't for me at all. This is Green Day. Short & simple. I love it.
Can’t wait to see their halftime performance in this year’s Grey Cup, rock on Green Day 🤘🏽🎸
Green Day ages like a fine wine, better with age and talent. Billie looks so good❤
This and Dilemma are my top favorites! I like how they've experimented with their sound (not that they're done experimenting) even if I didn't always like the results. lol But now they have returned to form and it's incredible!! Strong, fun songs! 🤘🏽
THIS IS THE REAL MEANING OF ROCK AND ROLL!! 🎸🎸
Found Green Day as a 7 year old and became obsessed. They got me into songwriting, I already sang. Now I’m 27, I still love them, I still sing and write, and I’m about to be a mother ❤️ I’ll make sure to bring my daughter up on Green Day! 🎸
@BilllieJoeArmstrong gtfoh fake billie
Wise decision. I brought my son up on GreenDay. He's 21 now.
Hi Chloe how’re you, thanks for been a great fan of us. 🌺🌺🌺
Hi Chloe good morning. Read what I wrote on my cover photo🌺🌺🌺
This is the true melodic punk rock!! ❤❤❤
My favorite band ever! ❤🔥
How lucky are we? This is perfection, my loves 💚
Insane how good this sounds blasting through your headphones at full volume. They really figured something out with Saviors.
When I first heard this song, I wasn’t too crazy about it. It felt kinda filler and sorta a meh track. But after listening to this song quite a few times now, it’s actually pretty damn good. It’s short, but definitely feels like a “Green Day” type of song. I’m honestly hyped for this album.
相当ぶりにGreen Dayを聴いたけど、初期の懐かしい雰囲気を思い出させてくれる曲だね
Very Good😀
I’m very excited for their upcoming album.
2:05 long... Very retro. lol. I love this. Wasn't a fan of 'The American Dream Is Killing Me' but this is classic Green Day.
A back to basics album is absolutely desired and this checks the boxes! Love seeing Green Day, Blink 182 and Sum 41 releasing albums of this caliber 30 years in 🔥🔥🔥
This feels like the first time in forever that Mike sings backup vocals. I don't think I've ever seen a music video that highlights his singing.
Green Day and Blink-182 taking us for a trip back in the good old days… what a time to be alive and to be a fan. 🤘🏻🖤
Don't forget Sum41!
B182 is like over produced LP and this is like just loud guitars and drums punk rock... love it
@markalmbar YOU SAID IT BEST, MAN!
too bad Green Day are woke morons though
blink clear@@Altri82
Yep. Can't wait to listen to this on loop for weeks. So proud of these guys. GD forever.
If someone came out and said this was a cut from Dookie, I’d believe it. Absolutely pumped for Saviors.
yeah its got that stupid silly vibe really a breath of fresh air
This is incredible! So happy Green Day is killing it again. Love the Basket Case reference, classic Green Day vibes 🔥🔥🔥
what part shows basket case reference
@@ejaygreenday Maybe the way Billie Joe stare the camera, and the way camera shot Billie.. I feel that too.
@@ejaygreendayI mean the setting, the way the nurse rolls in the patient. The medical equipment. It's all very similar to the Basket Case video in my opinion.
@@GuitarFabi I'm about to say that.
@@GuitarFabi oh ok it looked more like pulling teeth to me
Dang! This is a really good sound for the band!
It's a little like all of their music put together, but also like classic Green Day at the same time. Definitely on par with their best stuff!!!
i’m seeing you guys in seattle next year and i can’t wait! you guys are one of my favorite bands and i’m so excited for the concert!
Me too! Going to seattle show!
日本から応援してます!GREEN DAY最高!💚
Gracias muchachos, ustedes hicieron feliz la juventud de muchos de nosotros y siguen en ese camino. Tremendo temazo. Larga vida a green day 💚🔥
I've been a die hard Green Day fan my whole life. First concert I ever went to was Green Day with Jimmy Eat World for their American Idiot tour in Hartford, CT when I was 8 years old. I stopped following them after 21stCBD but this Album might be their best yet. It's a perfect projection of the world today with the CLASSIC Green Day sound.
Agreed!!
I´m a Green Day fan since September 2012, i´ts been a crazy 11 year ride with you guys. How the hell do they keep their energy so well since 1987? It´s awesome!!!
This is perfect! So refreshing yet also felt some old school green day vibes plus the video remembered me a little bit of basket's case video (the thematic as well). Loved every bit of it. This album is gonna be fire ❤🔥
Been a die-hard Green Day fan for almost half my life and it makes me really happy to see that they still after over 30 years on the scene makes new original music that also sound really good
Definitivamente este album nos va a evocar diferentes épocas de Green Day, algo increible y emocionante. Voy a escucharla una y otra vez, que buen tema carajo! 🤘🏼🎸

This was suggested to me while listening to the song “Dupe - Balling” 😅😅
Sounds like a song that should be on Kerplunk. Love it!!!!
To me this song would fit better on Insomniac, Nimrod, American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdown
@@jasonmartinez5116 It sounds most like a Nimrod song to me.
As a person with epilepsy, I genuinely appreciate the warning for the video. Luckily I haven’t have issues with photosensitivity in past.
This is a new Green Day video with a warning. Luckily I was able to test it out and made it through another banger of a video unscathed!! Can’t wait for the album and tour!
and for people like me who get vertigo
@@pennylou1167 yeah I know how that goes I get it quite often as well
Agreed, fortunately I had experimental brain surgery that for the most part cured my epilepsy and 95% of my photosensitivity, unfortunately a side effect of that surgery is the fact that now “I AIN’T GOT NO BRAINS!!!”
Всегда пели правду и до сих пор не изменились! Браво!
А про что этот трек?
Все что хотели сказать, сказали в American Idiot
@@snk_drAmerican idiot is a story about a characters life. And it was turned into a musical? What exactly did they say that spoke their entire life😅
So happy for this new song with old, beautiful sounds! Thank you! I can't wait to see you in Milan in June!!!!
Wow! I NEVER thought they'd go back to the band that got me into punk
Im feeling some "older" green day vibes from this one... freaking rad
I remember when Dookie came out on the market. I was a 14 years old rebel child that was trying to look and act like the guys from Green Day. And I still love them until this day! Will try to get a ticket for their show in London next year!
These songs for the new album so far are even better than i expected! Keep up the hard work
Refreshing 90s Green Day sound.
Great song ❤
I dig this. It’s very RamonesCore with its guitar. Sounds like a Screeching Weasel or a Chixdiggit! song.
Buen ritmo, me hace recuerdo a sus canciones 90teras
🤘🏻🥹 bien ahí GREEN DAY, saludos desde Bolivia 🇧🇴
AVEC CE GROUPE, JAMAIS DÉÇU, UN SON RECONNAISSABLE TOUT DE SUITE, UNE NOUVELLE CLAQUE, MAIS ON ADORE 🙏
I really like the direction they’re going here. Back to some familiar routes here and it makes me happy
