- I had a great talk with Steve Perry about coming back to music, reuniting with Journey at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and about the woman who inspired his comeback.
I found Steve to be open, thoughtful, honest and articulate. Really enjoyed doing this interview, and I hope you will enjoy listening.

This is a dream come true! I'm terminally ill and never thought he'd come back. I cried when I heard he was. Hopefully I will survive long enough to see him perform. I've already told my daughter to play his songs as I pass away because nothing makes me happier. I love you Steve! You are The Voice! You are the only Journey I love. 😘😘❤️❤️😍😍

I graduated in 1985. All of my friends knew who my group was...no doubt. I also was never ashamed to say, Steve was my favorite lead of all time. Of course I must say my entire high school years were spent listening to Journey. They we're definitely one of the very top groups of my era. So happy to hear from Steve. I have at least eight journey songs on my play list inside my cell phone. Love ya Steve. Thanks for so many great songs and I know journey is great without Steve as musicians. I give them respect but.........it was not my journey without Steve. That voice was journey for me.

Steve sounds so humble, A great singer and human being.
We've always said he could read the phone book and we'd be listening closely because Steve Perry speaks from the heart and soul just as he sings from those within. Here we've been wondering what he's been occupying himself with (other than the collaborations with other artists here and there and being a consultant for Director/Storyteller Patty Jenkins) since we last heard from him in a spate of interviews. We were past check-in time and now a flurry of great interviews on the heels of the release of "NoErasin"! What an awesome performance and what a cohesive and amazing sound with these new members of his band! Quality all around is supreme and that VOICE and here we listen to his heartfelt story picked up with the entrance of his great, True Love: Kellie. He is so philosophical and wise about life and we sit at his feet and listen fully intent on learning from this man of great character, diplomacy, wisdom, and empathy towards others. Kellie and Mary and all of Steve's Cloud of Witnesses smile with Grace upon him as he steps and stomps and whirls his way around HIS stage once again. Welcome HOME Steve Perry! Thank you Bruce for allowing Steve to be Steve and share from his heart and soul. Blessings!!!

We lost the amazing Aretha yesterday, but to know Steve "The Voice" is back and making music again softens the blow. I totally understand the need to step away from situations that cause burnout, and as much as I missed him, I'm glad that he took care of himself first. But damn, I'm so happy he's back! And his tribute to his love Kelli makes me smile. You kept your promise to her. Thank you. Thank you for being a part of the soundtrack of my life, from my junior high school days until forever. Journey remains my favorite band because of Steve. And yes, your humility in giving Arnel props. Still have goosebumps remembering meeting you in an elevator, lol. Fangirl squee!

This is the most incredible and awesome news! I was happy just listening to his music he has already produced, solo work and with Journey. As a loyal fan and he is my most favorite vocalist of all time and I am walking on a cloud in Heaven. I have to say that the the promise Steve made is the most important part of the incredible news of him singing again. Heard the new single, “ No Erasin’”. It’s awesome and bought it from iTunes. It’s awesome to hear new material, however a sound that takes me back to 83/84. Steve’s vocals and the harmonies and his band he did the single with are top notch awesome!

I heard No Erasin' on Wed night then went out yesterday and took my SP CDs to blast away & sing along & now tonight I finally get to hear this interview. We love you Steve & are so pleased you are singing & recording again😍😍😍
I remember the exact moment the most incredible voice I'd ever heard graced my soul...Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' was the song. It was in 1978-79 and I was sitting in my car in my driveway getting ready to pull out...and I couldn't because I was mesmerized by this Voice. Since that moment Steve Perry has been my favorite singer...ever. I think that's around 40 years.
Life just got a whole lot better. Thank you Steve.

I am sooo happy he's back! No Erasin is awesome!! It's a great day and Steve looks and sounds like hes in his 40s..it's terrific!!!

I've heard journey with arnel and seen them in concert in Atlantic City years ago and to me it's not same. And because I'm entitled TO MY OPINION, doesn't mean I'm living in the past.
