I honestly don't know if I don't like tuna or not. But, when I was in elementary school, they had a pizza lunch day. This was back when pizza was a treat. Well, they ran out of pizza. They gave tuna fish to those that didn't get the pizza. I was one of the people who didn't get pizza. Don't recall now if I ate the tuna fish or not, I just know I don't eat tuna. And this was at least 50 years ago. When I was 12, I went on vacation with my grandparents. One night, they cooked hotdogs on some type of hotdog cooker. I got sick as a dog. I would still eat hotdogs, but only at home, or at a picnic. I was in my 40s before I finally ate one from a convenience store. I didn't have much money, I was hungry, and it was the cheapest thing I could get. I've since eaten them several times. But, I had to be ready before I could do it.
To the op with the dry turkey problem. Take advice from the op who hates seafod. Bring food for your own family next time you go to m-in-law, & if the main course is inedible just pull it out & feed your family while f-in-law grills his meat.
I think the MIL would throw a fit if OP did try to bring her own food. OP already offered to help by bringing some dishes of her own but MIL refused. It's a lose-lose situation.
Story 1, NTA. If step parasite was too happy to do THAT for her horrid mother then not only is she a psychopath but she probably hates and is jealous of op. Same for stepmom given her "reason" was because op was looking to much like her mom. That suggests that stepmom is jealous of op's mom and therefore despises op. Of course she's not going to say anything as a psychopath she thinks she's in the right and isn't sorry at all. The sperm donor can go to hell if he thinks he can side with the psychopaths just to "keep the peace". If stepmom is divorcing the sperm donor over op suing her daughter for her actions shows that she doesn't love him. She probably thought he could get op to not do so but because he failed she's actually divorcing him. Oh well, she probably would have divorced him if he sided with op if it went that way. Just shows she's a no good, vile monster that only cares about herself. That's on him for marrying that witch. Happy that op has people that actually care about her and love her
I am merely a passable cook, not a great one, but when I was getting a whole turkey every year as a holiday bonus it wasn't that hard to cook it and have it turn out OK. Just follow the instructions in the cook book. If some one has a reputation as a good cook but ruins a turkey she's serving people she has a history with it seems pretty natural to think she did it on purpose. Either that or she tried some really advanced and fancy way to cook it instead of sticking to the basics, but in that case why not replace it for everyone instead of just herself?
Story 1: go no contact with that toxic family. Stoey 2: why make the mom cook the Turkey if she doesn't like cooking for Thanksgiving? Let her cook for Christmas and have someone else cook for Thanksgiving. She, herself, stated that she doesn't like cooking for Thanksgiving. As for the rest of the sucky family, that is on them.
Story 3 Your sister in law is being nasty she knows you have trauma about fish but she deliberately put it in every single thing you should be wary of this women but you watched your mother thrashing around on the floor watching your mother turning blue and so you have trauma and your brother also thinks it was deliberately done,to bully you
Last story the whole meal did not have to have seafood she could’ve had one or two dishes with seafood. I personally would not want a whole meal that’s seafood unless it’s sushi, OP does need to work on this issue because she’s going to be around seafood.
Story 1: Press those charges. In some cultures, you can't cut your hair until you are a certain age or getting married. Story 2: MIL is a jerk. SFIL jerk. Jerks abound. OP keeping quite and suffering in silence through the meal with a smile on her face eating the sides was more important to setting an example of being polite even if others aren't. Once in the car, she should tell her children how proud she was that they were polite as well. Next year OP would be inviting the family to their house with the request of MIL's delicious meatballs as an optional entree. Be gracious. We have all been there. OP wouldn't have been a doormat; she would be showing her children how to behave properly in uncomfortable situations. Change off holidays. Give MIL a chance to display her Christmas cheer. Story 3: OP's mom was horribly allergic to seafood UNTIL she went through menopause. I figure OP hasn't gone through menopause, so OP jumping into seafood after seeing the results of an allergy reaction is absolutely unreasonable. SIL is a huge jerk. OP was polite. She didn't throw a fit. Due to a blood disease, certain oils make me unable to eat any foods. My favorite foods now taste disgusting. So sad. I also don't like most seafood. SIL needs to be avoided. Untrustworthy.
Why would op put herself threw this. Crap show at her in-laws house for thanksgiving and op should had told her husband he can eat that crappy food stood story 2
S1 When they go low you go low/er. I am petty and wish others are as petty! OP should have lunged for the door and slammed it shut. Grabbed the scissors and started cutting step sister's hair at random points. If she protested, tell her "the baby cam is capturing everything". Then for a finale, pour some bleach or dye on her remaining hair.
S1 MY step mom dislikes me (for reasons I don't understand but was revealed by ss = OP looks like her late mom, but OP IS TOO DUMB to understand) AND MY step sister also dislikes me But I so love my dadda (though he has moved on to loving SD and SS and doesn't love me anymore) AND SO I AM GOING TO stay on and on and linger for ever in my dadda's house! This OP should contact the local zoo and see if they have a recently dead ape or chimp whose brain can be an upgrade for OP's.
Story 2, OP should host the next year's thanksgiving, go all out and invite the inlaws. However, when it's time to eat, give the mil a bowl of microwaved leftover meatballs and the fil a raw steak, saying that since OP isn't his slave either, he can go cook it himself again, while forbidding either from enjoying the turkey. I'd call that fair.
I call bs on the turkey, mil did it on purpose and had a back up meal for herself ready, turkey isn't hard to cook it's just a big chicken and requires longer in the oven, chuck it in a bag after seasoning and time the sides around it's cooking time for crispy skin take it out of the bag and cook for 30 min
The second story is about passive aggressive as you can get. She should just do her own thanksgiving meal and invite all the in-laws. Unless Christmas is also at her house.most parents like Christmas with the children.
Story 2: Opinion #1 about this story is just so bizarre, accusing DIL of having a vendetta against her MIL, I wonder if it was written by a disgruntled MIL. If MIL is a great cook, it is reasonable to assume she cooked a dry turkey on purpose to punish her DIL for always doing Christmas with her family. She made herself meatballs because she knew the turkey was bad and wanted to rub it in. I think she was sending a loud and clear passive aggressive message: "If you want great food, stop coming for Thanksgiving and come for Christmas dinner instead."
Story 1: Touch my hair and you will never know peace for the rest of your life! Story 2: G-Dammit! Why can't these people stay home in their own damn homes and create a NEW DAMN HOLIDAY TRADITION!?! Story 3: Who are these c-u-next Tuesdays who insist on pushing at the boundaries with others like this to the point of being cruel!?! I had this same problem with garlic, until I began to launch meals out of windows. If you want to make me sick and then bully me into thinking that I need to apologize, then I am going to do something to warrant an apology.
Take a photo of yourself with the haircut. Send it to your dad. Tell him that you will consider his request as soon as he can make your hair miraculously reattach.
Well... nori is just..... yucky lol Tastes like the bottom of a fish tank (not that I’ve ever tasted fish tank bottoms 🤣). Maybe getting some therapy might help? Start with something like tilapia, it’s a fairly land fish & you can doctor it up with lots of garlic, lemon, dill or other spices.
Story 3: When I was in 2nd grade we had fish squares for lunch and mine smelled funny and I didn't want to eat it. I was made to eat it by a teacher who told me not to waste food. I became sick from it and to this day I hate fish or any kind of seafood. That was 57 years ago.
Allergies change during a lifetime. Puberty and menopause are two of the biggest times. At puberty the food allergy can stay the same, get better or get worse, about equally.
Mom packed me a turkey sandwich but forgot to put in an ice pack and the bag sat somewhere warm. Teacher made me eat it because it was "still good." Worst food poisoning I've ever had. That's about half of why I hate sandwiches, the other is that I've eaten enough sandwiches for a life time already. I remember how miserable I was for the rest of the day and all the throwing up and other symptoms I dealt with. I'm also fanatical about keeping food cold or hot and leftovers get tossed after three days because leftovers got me incredibly sick a different time. I can eat sandwiches, but I don't ever really want to.
Opie don’t only just get a restraining order. She assaulted you. She buzzed your hair off. And the fact your father is on their site. I would also go no contact with him and tell him how he would feel if someone do that to him.
I think if I woke up and my head had basically been shaved, I might have to call law enforcement and see if charges could be filed for that. I don't know if they could do anything, but it would be worth a try. That is horrid! I haven't made a dry turkey in I can't tell you how long. First off, I use a roasting bag. Next, I slice one small apple and place it in the bag. First time I used 2 apples and we had a huge mess. One apple produces so much juice it will end up filling almost half the bag. Your turkey will fall apart when it's done and it's so juicy. Last story: I'm in the very beginning and what OP has just described is an eating disorder called ARFID. Trauma does bring it on. The trauma can come in either mental or physical form. Both of my sons have it. My oldest was born due to a traumatic birth, the youngest when he broke his leg at 2 1/2. The severity of it differs between people. People who have it are also known as picky eaters. It can be very restrictive to some.
Last story: I had chicken fried steak as a kid and my sisters and I would have to make pur own food, including dinner as my mom worked and went to school full time for both and well my abusive "dad" did nothing to help us. Anyway, so my mom would go to Sam's Club and buy them in bulk. One night, I ate one for dinner and got violently ill. Yup, after that I couldn't even stand the smell of it let alone eating one. I still can't eat or stand the smell of them to this day. decades later.
Story 1, your stepsister dropped out of school and just plays games all day. Joke's on her then, because your hair will eventually grow back and be beautifully long again and you can rub it in her face. If there's any cosmic justice in the world your stepsister will turn into a fat, lonely, turd of a hermit and live in her mother's basement. I hope somebody steals her very last Hot Pocket without telling her.

Happy that op has people that actually care about her and love her
OP's da may love her. Worthless love I call it.
@@xhagast I agree 💯💯
Press assault charges.
Anyone who says that calling that turkey dry is rude is mad because THEY cook dry ass turkey too.
Let’s be real!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol, try a bite of her seafood & vomit on the table
Cook the turkey upside down. The breast won't be dry.
Police report. RO. No contact. EVER.
Commenter "cooking an entire meal is stressful " ... op had offered to help.
Story 3
Your sister in law is being nasty she knows you have trauma about fish but she deliberately put it in every single thing you should be wary of this women but you watched your mother thrashing around on the floor watching your mother turning blue and so you have trauma and your brother also thinks it was deliberately done,to bully you
eat the seafood then throw up all over the table.
Father is supporting HER? Has your father *seen* the result?
S1 When they go low you go low/er. I am petty and wish others are as petty!
OP should have lunged for the door and slammed it shut. Grabbed the scissors and started cutting step sister's hair at random points. If she protested, tell her "the baby cam is capturing everything". Then for a finale, pour some bleach or dye on her remaining hair.
S1 MY step mom dislikes me (for reasons I don't understand but was revealed by ss = OP looks like her late mom, but OP IS TOO DUMB to understand) AND MY step sister also dislikes me
But I so love my dadda (though he has moved on to loving SD and SS and doesn't love me anymore)
AND SO I AM GOING TO stay on and on and linger for ever in my dadda's house!
This OP should contact the local zoo and see if they have a recently dead ape or chimp whose brain can be an upgrade for OP's.
😂😂😂
Story 2, OP should host the next year's thanksgiving, go all out and invite the inlaws. However, when it's time to eat, give the mil a bowl of microwaved leftover meatballs and the fil a raw steak, saying that since OP isn't his slave either, he can go cook it himself again, while forbidding either from enjoying the turkey. I'd call that fair.
If they go to Tdaty every year mother in law did this on purpose
Story 1: File an assault charge.
She can cook turkey. That was a choice.
Well...
nori is just..... yucky lol
Tastes like the bottom of a fish tank (not that I’ve ever tasted fish tank bottoms 🤣).
@@barbaramarrs5113 My aversion has nothing to do with allergies.
I blame Dad
To the commenter: “Inner Nonna”
I need a nonna!
The sea food story: I get OP as I have issues with certain textures and consistence as it mess with my cleft palate.
Story to mother-in-law and father-in-law are hosts they should not be so selfish and all because they can’t get Christmas.
