    Do you have a tutorial on how to create a logo watermark in Lightroom?

    • @BrentDurand
      @BrentDurand  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jarrod - Great idea - I don't have a video like that though, as there are so many different ways to create a logo watermark. Mine is actually a real photo that I adjusted in Photoshop. Others might use line icons, hand drawn logos, etc. If you have a rough idea of what you'd like to do, just search TH-cam for that type of photoshop work/workflow. Doesn't have to relate to underwater photography to be applied to creating your watermark 🤙

    • @jarrodunderwood3277
      @jarrodunderwood3277 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrentDurand tried that. It's all how to add it to an existing photo or just simple text creation. I want to make the logo itself the watermark and there's no tutorial around that seems to do that

    • @BrentDurand
      @BrentDurand  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jarrodunderwood3277 I see. Most watermarks have a clear background, which can only be done as a .png file. Once you have that png file it’s easy to import as a Lightroom watermark. Have you tried searches to “clear background logo as png” and things like that.
      Alternatively, I could help through Virtual Lesson video chat if that’s of interest: tutorials.brentdurand.com/virtual-photo-lessons/

    Hi Brent
    How do I know how many pixels and the resolution to use in my image sizing? How do I make a PNG with no photo shop?

    • @BrentDurand
      @BrentDurand  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Phyllis - If I understand correctly then the image size (number of pixels) you choose when exporting an image from Lightroom is based on the recommended specs for your intended use of the photo. For example, you likely want the highest resolution for a print on your wall, where you might only want half resolution for a social media post.
      PNG is actually a file type. You can easily rename a .jpg as a .png. But if you're talking about a png as an image with a transparent background, then Photoshop is the best way to create this.
      Hope this helps a bit!

      Apparently, the new version does not give you the option to add a watermark. UGH!!!! I just spent a chuck of time trying to figure out where this function was. Sucky. Hey, I see you are a surfer. Do you know Andrew Scaffario? He lives down near you and is a surfer.

      @BrentDurand  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lucindaeubanks6339 I'm not positive, but it's very likely that the trial version doesn't allow you to add a watermark file. So you'd need to start paying Adobe to gain access to that feature. And nope, don't know Andrew...

      @@phillipjackman3632 Hey Phillip - Are you using 'Adobe Photoshop Lightroom' or 'Lightroom Classic'? I ask because these are two different programs. The prior is designed for mobile and has minimal features, whereas the latter is the robust desktop version. This tutorial is for Lightroom Classic. I'll make one for the mobile version as soon as time permits (this is all a hobby) 👊
