Great that you are playing this. P.S.: Don't worry about the few minutes you spent creating your character. If you had used mods, it might easily have multiplied the number of options or added new options alltogether. Free color choice with hex RGB values, more realistic hair, faces, eyes,... That is just the start.
@@stefwoodburn One thing you might want to consider is using the following mods from nexusmods: "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - USSEP" and "SkyUI". The first purely fixes bugs that are not covered by official patches, and the second makes mostly changes to inventory and trading screens, so that they are in table form with search and sort functions. The later of those two requires "Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE)" for your version of Skyrim, which allows this low-level access between mods and the base game. Neither changes any of the game content. As good as many Bethesda games are, they just do not get user interfaces for PC versions right, especially when trying to find the lowest common denominator for PC and consoles.
In addition to Lynda Carter (TV's Wonder Woman) who plays two characters, the game features the voices of 3x Oscar-nomininated actress Joan Allen, legendary Oscar-winning actor Christopher Plummer and iconic 2x Oscar-nominated actor Max Von Sydow.
To make your adventuring a little easier. When you find a piece of armor with a breathe water enchantment, go to the nearest enchantment table break it down in order to learn the enchantment and then enchant a ring or amulet. It doesn't matter what your enchantment skill is or the size of the soul gem for this enchantment. Now you can explore underwater without having to load yourself down with water breathing potions. Happy adventuring.
Dark elves make very good Vampires as their resistance to fire negates most of the negative to fire that is given to vampires. My current build at lvl 60 is nearly immune to fire and cold.
Having caught up with your latest Skyrim stream (4) on twi tch, here some spoiler free things that you might want to know going forward: - You can mark weapons/spells as favourite items, and from the favourite menu then assign hotkeys 1 to 8 - Each 10 skills that you increase by 1 point, you gain 1 level & 1 perkpoint - Per level, you can pay trainers for up to 5 skill levels - When leveling up, you are restored to full health. You can strategically delay this until you need a quick heal in combat. - Beware leveling up by training too many non-combat skills too fast - enemies might outlevel you, when your combat skills can't keep up - Those pots hanging from the ceiling in crypts will explode when shot, and set the reddish oliy liquid on the floor below on fire. Or use a fire spell. - Eating ingredients will increase Alchemy skill and reveal the first of four properties - Learn all spell tomes and enchantments that you find - Most books just contain lore, but there are exceptions: Skill books that increase a skill by one point (but only one time per skill ever, so it is better to read them later, when you have that skill high already), and quest books that add a quest (very few of those, hint: check court wizard Farengar's personal library). - When your reputation with a person is high enough, you may take their items up to a certain value (cursor show "take" instead of "steal") - In part 3, when you got your rep call, you came back and the conversation with Klimmek was ended (They left to follow their evening schedule). You missed out on a simple quest with a solid money reward. My favourite quote you had so far: "It's the journey, not the destination, or whatever..."
Bretons are the people of Brittany in North Western France. They were a Celtic people who left Britain during the early middle-ages after coming into conflict with the Anglo-Saxons (i.e. early English people).
i lived with a French fam in Paris. They mentioned (in French) one weekend they were going to "Breton." I thought it was them saying "Britain" with a French accent... and they kept bringing back delicious homemade jams, it took a couple months for me to realize they were just going to another part of France 😅
@@stefwoodburn If you ever go to Bretagne, be sure to try their speciality called "Galette Bretonne" which is like a darker and brown crepe but you eat with with ham, cheese with a fried egg on top. 👍 St Malo is awesome. Feels like you're in the movie set of a Pirate film.
@2:25:00 I think during all the times I have played this part, never ever had I to fight against that bandit. He is supposed to try to operate the lever and fail, serving as another "tutorial" for the player regarding traps.

The race descriptions are terrible for telling you what the best features are. Bretons are the toughest race in the entire game, for instance, because magic hits super hard and their magic resistance is great ... while High Elves are hated by most everyone in Skyrim. The whole "orcs make and wear heavy armour so they're warriors" is great until they drop like flies in the face of fireballs.
One tip: you are what you do in Skyrim Fire Lightning bolts from your fingers you'll level up Destruction. Spend your time sneaking and picking pickets - those skills will increase. Don't understand why you took the perk point in two-handed when using a shield and a one handed sword. You are literally getting no benefit from it. IMO Chat+feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options mislead you. So the only benefit you currently experience is a slightly bigger pool of HP. Hope this helps are gets corrected in future episodes otherwise you will struggle I think if your chosen playstyle doesn't match your perk distribution.
High cholesterol isn't always a bad thing, allopathic doctors are taught a lot of bunk science designed to keep the public either dependent on them, sick or usually both. Allopathic medicine shines in emergency rooms and diagnostic tech, but it is so horrible at nearly everything else (as intended) that it is the leading cause of human death in many places, though they try to hide that fact.
Always interesting to see someone's first playthrough. I doubt a new player has any idea of the amount of content the game has or the flexibility that it offers in creating your own tailored experience with mods.
From the start youve experienced the annoyance i find the UI. The UI is made for consoles, unfortunately. A lot of PC mods fix it for PCs. There are 2 subtitle options. Im not sure what rhe difference is "dialog" subtitle and "general" subtitle. If you see the down arrow but cant navigate there, the scroll wheel on your mouse scrolls down, or you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard and "enter" to select. Again think console with just a gamepad and a button. Sometimes it makes more sense to navigate the menus with arrows, the enter key and tab/esc
