Hej guys. Welcome to my first playthrough of FALLOUT 3! Sadly due to copyright, I had to mute the "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" song during the intro cutscene. 😭 BUT I covered that song + "End Of The World" by Skeeter Davis for you. You can listen here if you'd like : th-cam.com/video/bEWqIr38GpQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iGeeIERuXR1M5hnB
Whenever I hear that song I immediately think of Fallout 3 😂I recently tried to play this game and installing it but I realized I just cant play it vanilla anymore since I want to just mod the heck out of it to bring it up to modern graphical standards... but decided against it, gonna do the next best thing and live thru u vicarously as you play, I would probably be annoyed since I go thru every nook and cranny when I play fallout games but I understand you are playing for an audience and you're not going to go thru every quest and every place, looking forward to a really good watch and taking a trip down amnesia lane. 😁
Fun fact: When you're a toddler and you speak in your baby voice, it's actually the voice of Todd Howard's infant son. Thanks to some high-level nepotism, that kid has a voice acting credit to his name before he even learned how to speak.
I CANNOT believe someone told you to not read the data logs on the overseers vault. I'll never understand why people are so impatient watching someone play a game to the point they will actively try and hurt their experience playing it for the first time, especially in a big rpg like this. There is soooo much amazing lore or cool info you find out from reading the terminals, listening to holotapes, reading the notes etc. Thats where a ton of the world building, character building, and even hints at where to find amazing loot and such are.
Because watching is different to playing yourself. Gets pretty tedious watching someone read loads of text or spending 20 minutes sorting their inventory. Having said that I wouldn't tell anyone not to do those things, but would hope they would edit most of that stuff out, (Gob bless Welonz!) Problem with playing on a stream is that the streamers gets distracted by chat and usually misses out on information or nuance that's happening on the screen. The later Family quest is QED. She is given three locations to check out but misses that entirely and just wanders off in the general direction.
Everyone does not play the game the same way you do. The vast majority of players don't read everything. That doesn't mean their experience is diminished. Trying to 100% an RPG seems pretty pointless to me.
@@CliffSedge-nu5fv Same! Livestreams of any kind are the most irritating boring things ever. I have no idea why they're even a thing. Most of them you couldn't have a conversation even if you wanted to, because it's just an endless wall of constant spam, inside memes and sack riding.. all scrolling too fast to read. Good times...
Also Ron Perlman is the opening narrator, and he was the narrator in every Fallout game previous to 4, so when the opening trailer got leaked and we long-time fans went ballistic that they didn't bring him back. While they did make him the newscaster in the opening of the game, still... A lot of us long-time fans greatly miss his narration.
They wen’t mad from the opening trailer? They know he wasn’t doing any narration when the game was announced? It was still a few months from release then though.
There is actually a quest marker in Vault 81 in Fallout 4 that due to a bug it never triggers. But, you are supposed to walk into the Vault 81 classroom and the lights dim, and the teacher tells the kids about the G.O.A.T. that they will have to take, with the baseball question as an example. It was accidentally discovered by a TH-camr named Nate and some modders helping him research the S.A.F.E. test and it's connections to the Vaults only a few years ago, so they created a mod to fix the bug so that will trigger! Basically, the bug was that it's supposed to only run once, so they set it to turn itself off when the teacher goes to sleep. Sounds good, but since there is pretty much no way you will ever reach Vault 81 in time to hear it, she goes to bed and the quest marker gets turned off before you even enter the vault. The bug fix basically sets it to only turn off once it's been played.
0:40 a key lore of Fallout universe is the fact that transistors were not invented in their universe back in the 40s, so they kept using vacuum tubes and decided to increase the power supply. i won't go into tech gibberish but people studying engineering or something similar might understand the significance this plays in world-building.
I just played through Tales of Two Wasteland a mod that combines Fallout 3 and New Vegas into a single game running off the New Vegas engine. So you pretty much start in Fallout 3 and whenever you want you to travel to Mojave (New Vegas) by using a train station in D.C that is guarded by Super Mutants so it's a little difficult early on but once you turn the power on and defeat the Mutants you can travel between the two games. So you can play through Fallout 3 levelling up your character, getting weapons, armour, and followers and then travel to New Vegas with the same character whenever you want. Then you can return to the Capital Wasteland with weapons and armour only found in New Vegas so it's very cool.
My first Fallout game was Fallout's father. Long story short, Brian Fargo made a game way back in 1986 called Wasteland. He wanted to make a sequel, even teased a sequel in the first game, but the publisher, EA, decided not to do a sequel after all. He wanted to get the rights to do a sequel on his own, but they wouldn't give it to him. So, he started his own company, Interplay, and they built Fallout upon the bare bones of Wasteland. Decades later EA finally gave him back the rights and he did do his Wasteland 2 via a successful Kickstarter campaign.
I consider Fallout 3 to be my favorite game of all time, closely followed by the Mass Effect series. The reason I hold it in that position is the atmosphere of the game. I haven't seen a post-apocalyptic setting that felt more interesting and, well, post-apocalyptic than Fallout 3's Capitol Wasteland. The game also has a perfect progression feel, where you feel alone and underpowered when you step out of the vault, the places you go are just perfectly edge-of-your-seat creepy, but when you get some levels under your belt you feel much more confident traveling the wasteland, although never overpoweringly so. Much of that may have been the fact that it was my first Fallout game, but I think it was really a great balance of the mechanics and the worldbuilding. My favorite wasteland so far. And "Pants Exploded" refers to the in-game ability to reverse pickpocket live grenades, making people's pants (and bodies) explode.
Fallout 3 rocks. I absolutely love that game. I always crack up at everyone cursing with every other word. After all these years, it still cracks me up 😂😂😂. The atmosphere is just spot on. It feels like I’m really there. Never got that with New Vegas or Fallout 4. They’re fantastic games, but never had that level of atmosphere that Fallout 3 has.
Right there with you BK! I loved New Vegas but FO3 is still my all time favorite FO game and in my top 10 games of all time. Definitely the best atmosphere. It’s definitely dated at this point but 15 years ago, it was pretty amazing
I preordered FO3 collector's edition and when it arrived on release day I played for 42 hours in the first 3 days. It did not disappoint. Never been so immersed in a game before or since.
First 2 games were "Baldur's Gate style" CRPGs, but Fallout 3 introduced the series to a far broader audience. Differences from original games aside, this remained a phenomenal experience. Compelling world exploration + countless memorable moments helped this win near universal 2008 GOTY awards. Well earned! 😎
One and two will always hold a special place in my heart. They nailed down the environment. Fallout 3 and beyond took some time to grow on me, but I'm glad they did because they are really good additions to the world.....especially New Vegas.
Great video for a great game. Love how you explored the map so much. It would be nice to see you use VATS somewhat in the future, in my opinion it makes combat a little more fun.

The original Fallout, having turn based combat segments, explains the VATS system and action points. It does the dark humour really well. The graphics, even with the high res patch that Epic etc install automatically, are a bit fuzzy. The text is small. But there are so many moral dilemmas and near death dramatic moments it could make a great Lizz video. The companions can die too. Just save often, as there's no auto save and random encounters can be lethal.

Fallout 3 is my favorite of the Bethesda Fallouts. It was my first Fallout and I played it on release in 2008 so it might just be nostalgia. But I like the setting of Fallout 3 better than New Vegas, and I like the story more than Fallout 4.
Haha I loved watching this! At first I was like eww she’s picking up roach meat?? 🍖 and then I remembered ‘oh yeah she’s a cook!’ 😂 - She knows what she’s doing 👍🏻 **turns roach meat into a creepy crawly, but tasty steak** 😂 Good though!
I have spent soooooo much time playing this game, to the point that before obtaining the official guide book I learned quite a bit of secrets in this game. There is so much to do, and so many secrets, so many things that can change your game play. Especially for the better. Am officially curious to see what sort of shenanigans you are going to get into in the Capital Wasteland. Just remember Lone Wanderer to have fun exploring the wastes! There is a sort of bug not bug in the game to get lots of caps, although being on PC I imagine getting caps isn't a problem if you don't have a problem with Console commands. But am glad to see your enjoying it so much, I myself am also doing a play through for a friend of mine. They LOVE the story of fallout as a whole, but are unable to actually play the game. Their hand eye coordination with a controller isn't nearly as good as it would need to be? Anyway, so I have been doing a play through of it for her as well so we can move on to New Vegas and finally 4.
@@blockmasterscott Yeah, there's at least 6 perks you want up fast, speech included. I just concentrate on getting 3 up to 50 as fast as possible. Then start on the next 3. It's all personal preference really and that's a big part of the fun.
@@LIZZgame DOH! I forgot about explosives, yeah, I always make that number one with speech. That way I talk to the owner of the bar to set me in the right direction of finding pops, and I also get extra xp talking to him too.
@@2001perseus. I do something close to that. Once I get speech up to about the mid 40s(dialogue is my favorite part in Bethesda games), and disarm the bomb, I go all out on repair and computers. That way, with those skills shooting up, I can unlock more locks and monitors, which gives me more xp for leveling. The high charisma and speech is not really essential, but I just love that aspect of the game, for example, I always get child at heart early because I love how the kids talk. So I actually go really high charisma and speech early on so I can talk to people.

Haha I loved watching this! At first I was like eww she’s picking up roach meat?? 🍖 and then I remembered ‘oh yeah she’s a cook!’ 😂 - She knows what she’s doing 👍🏻
**turns roach meat into a creepy crawly, but tasty steak** 😂 Good though!
Lizz.
Lizz never changes.
(Thas a good thing!)
My first fallout. Good times.
First and favorite. Love this game.
Repair, lockpick, science before all else. Especially early on.
So far I put a most in Lockpick, Repair, Small Guns I think. And Explosives, because of Megaton haha
I always went for repair and speech starting out. That dialogue is really important.
I remember the first time I played it I think it was the first open world game I ever played That may be grand theft auto I just recently dug out my old PlayStation 3 And have been playing fall out 3 I hope you had as much fun as I did Well good luck to you lone wonder
Morrowind is so awesome
Sounds like an X-men character
You explode pants by reverse pickpocketing explosives
Saturday night, a new game, hooray....
56:44 someone wrote Brotch the Crotch on the board, thats hilarious.
When i played Fallout 3 first time being my characters baby is so cute
Fallout 3 is my favorite our of this franchise. Currently during my 2nd playthrough
Nice, enjoy!
Wait did they change the dialogue from “Tunnel Snakes Rule!” to snake life forever??!! LAAAAAME!!! The old gang slogan was SO GOOD! 😂😂😂😂
I think I heard them say both?
Frick I love Fallout. Fallout 3, N.V., Fallout 4, Fallout 76. I can't get enough
Just discovered your channel. I subscribed because your reactions seem authentic and not fake. You really seem to enjoy what you are playing. I wish women in The Netherlands enjoyed gaming like that. Usually when dating someone, the fact that you game is a big no back here. The only games they usually play are the ones on phones.
Please continue like this!
I bet that there are ladies in the Netherlands who enjoy gaming as well. Maybe they're just hard to find!
Ooh going to watch all of this playthrough. Fallout 3 needs more love.
amen to that! love that game so far!
My 1st Fallout game was Fallout. It is still great.
So far, I've played Fallout3, New Vegas and Fallout4. This is still my favorite. This is the Skyrim of Fallouts.

Fallout 3 is my favorite. Nothing against New Vegas. I just like the chaotic whimsy of FO3
Fallout 3 expansions I played on 360 in some ways it's a lot better than fallout 4 can't wait for fallout London a friend of mine has been working hard on it for 12 months
yeah two of my friends are voicing some characters and I know one of the singers who are to be heard in the Radio!
