The in-game books are totally worth reading, even if just in your free time. You learn a great deal about the setting and the background context behind a lot of things going on in the game through them. Books like journals can even provide helpful information for quests and there are some quests that only start after reading specific books.
@@Bluece I'm just starting the video (great intro, btw) so I don't know if you've figured this out yet, but some books also give you skillpoints. So it's worth at least opening them for a moment as you pick them up. I personally think you ought to read them as well, but there are a ton of them so I understand if you're not a super lore person and don't want to spend the time.

20:27 dont worry, I got that Avatar reference Skyrim isn't a very difficult game so, if you want to spice things up you can turn on Survival Mode, you get weak if you don't eat, sleep, and stay warm. You could also just turn up the difficulty, enemies will do more damage and you will do less Also, you can Sprint by pressing control but; as someone who's played Skyrim *too* much, I'd take your time. The game usually plays at your pace so, I'd encourage you to "Stop and Smell the Roses". There's a lot to enjoy :)

If you want harder combat there are a bunch of combat mods that let enemies heal using potions and magic. Bandits will attack in waves, vampires will bampf into clouds of bats. Etc.
Took me a second to realize why you are so shocked at the appearance of the non human races, you haven't just not played this but are going in very blind. That's cool! I am a big fan of this game and have been playing since release, it will be fun to see how you play and what you do. I also like your live action intro, not many people do stuff like that.

The fun thing about Skyrim is that your race means virtually NOTHING... You get a small boost at the start for whatever you want to do, but once you get going, any race can do anything... So you should pick your race based on roleplay or whatever looks cool to you.
I'd love to see you beating the game without googling stuff as much as possible There is something magical about discovering a game for the first time and while Skyrim is such a masterpiece I think I've done it all already, getting to see people exploring it from the beginning, with no knowledge is very refreshing. I love this kind of content, sadly it is extremely rare with masterpieces such as this, most people already played it by now... Very different from Skyrim, though, and other MMO's in general. Don't feel pressured to play it on the channel, it's just a great game to try out, and in its heights at the moment. I see however you are of gentle disposition and may not fare well with the dark side your journey make take you on. Mayhap you have chosen a path too difficult for one of such delicate inclinations. Subtitles would be useful as you may miss important details while making jovial comment and a slight tweaking of the sound effects such as footsteps would improve watching quality. I see some in comments would have you believe erroneously that you can 'beat' the game and even being so bold as to estimate time to 'complete' it. My mirth at these judgements was immense. One does not simply rush through Skyrim but lives and breathes the experience that is an Elder Scroll game. @@Bluece don't forget... EVERY PERSON EVER has a stealth archer 🏹 If you want a long, successful playthrough, work on other abilities and put your unique personality into your character. There's a reason why Skyrim is one of the greatest of all time. Make this a classic for the ages. It is within your power Padawan.
It's a shame that as a new player there's not really any way to know this, but as a Wood Elf / Bosmer you have the unique ability to calm an animal once per day. You can actually pass the bear in the tutorial without killing it by using your power on it. It will then just go back to sleep and you can proceed. Good for roleplaying.
It's funny how an NPC tells him exactly where to go, and a second later he has no clue. 😅 Actually listening to the NPCs, open your journal, and take a peek at the map makes things a lot easier. Also, wear some lighter armor as an archer. You need to make less sound and be light on your foot.
Seems like could be a fun watch though I’m a bit of an old fart and some of the gameplay (rushing through stuff without seeming to listen to the NPC’s or explore) gets on my nerves a bit. Having said that, I have subbed and look forward to watching your progress. The number of episodes is going to really depend on how many side quests you divert off into and which ones.

At the Inventory menu left click on a weapon will equip it on the right hand, right click on a weapon will equip it on the left hand... press F to make them favourites so you can change between your weapons of choice quickly by pressing Q midgame

Next time you create a new character for skyrim remember to enter the fort with Hadvar instead of Ralof, his uncle is the blacksmith in Riverwood and would give you so much better suplies (you will recieve the mission to join the Imperials, but at the end is your choice who you gonna join)

Finally someone who doesnt choose dark elf as the first character 😂 intro was mad good tho man immersed me n a game of played faaarrrrrr too much and yet not enough still lol archer is my fav to tho i usually make a combat archer as a breton and get her max magic resistance allowed but i okay on legendary so tht helps alot lowkey wit dragons n shii wood elf is a solid choice

Ive been so loving watching people watch/play my favourite games and movies for the first time, pleased to say this wasnt the exception!
The intro was just 👌🏻 popping uo in the character creator was hilarious 😂 hope you enjoy playing this wonderful game, my first time playing I was so mesmerised but confused figuring it all out and its ao nice ro see you discovering it.

At the Inventory menu left click on a weapon will equip it on the right hand, right click on a weapon will equip it on the left hand... press F to make them favourites so you can change between your weapons of choice quickly by pressing Q midgame

Whatever hud you're using is hurting you a bit. Should be a compass at the top of the screen with an arrow to quest objectives. Also, you get a subscribe. It's always fun to watch somebody discover Skyrim.

Next time you create a new character for skyrim remember to enter the fort with Hadvar instead of Ralof, his uncle is the blacksmith in Riverwood and would give you so much better suplies (you will recieve the mission to join the Imperials, but at the end is your choice who you gonna join)
