Great tour, new to the jdm van world but am loving watching these videos and learning more. I have a question about the importing process. Was it hard to get it registered in Colorado? I noticed Washington plates on it. I ask because I'm looking to import a Bongo but live in California and the more I find out, the harder it is to reg here. Colorado may be an option since I have family there. Thank you!
Fantastic vans! The one thing that I'd encourage you, or a buyer, to do would be to fit a coolant alarm to warn of loss of coolant or else a separate engine temperature gauge as the standard Mazda one is so slow to react to engine temp changes and the cylinder head on those 2.5TDs doesn't like being overheated. Also be careful of air locks when changing the coolant! Hope this lovely can goes on to provide many more miles of smiles!
Thanks, yes I actually sold it and they're putting in the Bongo bleed kit. I actually had it but never installed it but the person who bought it is more mechanically inclined than I am and will be installing the bleed kit right away
Hi, I just purchased a 97 Friendee Van. I have the 2.5 liter diesel. I'm having a hell of a time finding a part number for the oil filter. The parts stores are baffled. Do you have a recommendation for a part vendor? I'm in south central CO and I'm at a bit of a loss.
Turning out to be the best small van Ive owned, love mine
Great review, i have one with kitchen in , few niggles with it but overall a very versatile vehicle.

Jaw dropped at the curtain buttons. If I didn’t have my 88 LiteAce, I would be on my way to you right now with a check!!
That's one thing I really miss on the bongo compared to the stepwagon.i are the curtains as they're so easy to use

@@EstebanSalazar-d7e ford ranger WLT engine is same as one in bongo, Blue Print ADC42105. Or a Napa gold 1067 should work.
