The ECU kept dying because it was connected to an epoxied new ground. Soon as they switched it to the original Lamborghini ground, the ECU worked fine. Chris is not a born mechanic, but that's alright, Oscar is. :)

Having the freedom to make mistakes is very important if you are trying to learn something. So if you want an all knowing builder then this channel is not for you and most people actually like going through the learning curve. This challenge was already a massive one for anyone and they can use a little less negativity.
Eric Chart the block is build to take 1500HP and he said he will try to get it close to that mark. So take it easy fam and if videos like this make you angry maybe try watching other things.
I did say this at the time when you were making the exhaust but I'll suggest it again - get the exhaust ceramic coated it will lower the temperatures by 30%.
I'm sitting here thinking "a TSP LS at 25 pounds max maxing 8?" That engine has so much more in it even at those boost levels, believe Jeremy got 1200 out of Leroy around 26 pounds. And yeah theres more knowledgeable than ol Cleet but Jeremy truly knows his stuff and we can't discount how much of a hand he had in getting Leroy into the 7's.

I would love to see you guys build an all electric super car something like the new tesla roadster, rimac c_two or pininfarina battista. I think with a platform of a model 3(batteries, electrical components and the dual motors) and a crazy looking fiberglass body with carbon fiber details and a custom steal frame it will be an all electric hypercar on a budget. It is well known that cars like the rimac and the pininfarina cost more than $ 2 million it will be very interesting to see what you and your team can do and i bet there will be a huge interest and hype around the build! Thanks!
Yeah his tire choice on the rear is all wrong and there's shortcuts taken but at least he's being real with us about the shortcomings.... The last 10 percent takes 90 percent of the time on any build
@@BETAsin well "b is for build" always has these weird deadlines instead of just planning ahead and not rushing. It happens in other builders, but not as often. I only subscribe to channels like Thotl because they do it the right way and don't rush.
Motor sounds amazing. You guys have done a phenomenal job. It’s been an absurd amount of figuring it out for a bunch of guys with no background in racing. It will make some serious power when you get the bugs worked out.
But that would take 10 times as long as just bodging it while getting maybe a tenth of the views, because most of the people watching aren't actually interested in good mechanical work. Better to just switch to a new "insane" project.

It's not a ball bearing stuck in the T-fitting. That's a spring loaded check valve tee. You installed it to allow vacuum coming out but stop boost from escaping. You just had it installed the wrong way.

All I know is I beliebe in you guys and I know for sure you guys will make 1300hp easy once all issues are taken cared of. The hell they aren’t if they are paying for it. I’m not paying for dyno time unless I know the thing will drive on the streets and all the kinks are worked out.
The tuner is not the problem . It’s the stuff that was thrown together to make Sema that is coming back to haunt him . Waste gates/ exhaust system and the fuel system probably needs to be reengineered. The engine could have been run and calibrated on an engine dyno out of the car . Watch some of Richard Holdener’s vids . Car probably needs to be taken apart and rebuilt carefully.

I think you need to talk to John Hennessy. They have been building LS engines putting out 1200 hp for years now. Its like you said 800hp is nothing to be bummed about but that engine can put out so much more.
It really frustrates me to see so many people excited to put Chris and his team down so fast. I challenge anyone without mechanical knowledge to build a 1000+ hp Lamborghini from scratch after a couple of years of tinkering with cars. Full props to the whole crew, great job!

The crappy Chinese thin wall headers is the main reason you have so much heat in the engine bay. Get Oscar to use that good stainless you got from ETS and build some new headers, will also help your boost creep issues.
He's a software engineer and very open about his amateur status. For his skill level, *especially* for his skill level, what he's achieved is damn impressive.
Those straps were just fine. When you Dyno tune a car. There is a fine line of how tight you want the straps to be because if they are too tight, you will get improper readings.
@@webb4252 bs. Angled toward head is the second best, equal split is the best, 90 degree is ok. Angled toward turbo is not recommended. If the wastegste large enough, it won't creep. Pretty simple and all the rest of it.

Simple answer on the ground point: You hit an RPM range that was a resonant frequency of the chassis. Lots of vibration at that point in the run.
It took 800 HP for Chris to finally do a burnout! Way to go haha

Lee Carver did this with my volvo and helped tremendously and isn’t that expensive especially if he has some one to make the manifolds for him.

Those straps were just fine. When you Dyno tune a car. There is a fine line of how tight you want the straps to be because if they are too tight, you will get improper readings.

@@webb4252 bs. Angled toward head is the second best, equal split is the best, 90 degree is ok. Angled toward turbo is not recommended.
If the wastegste large enough, it won't creep.
