Dale, I got a NOS rim (Takasago rear 1.60 x 18) and a set of spokes (Again as per original nos Parts) When i built the wheel and it trued ok. I still have thread showing on some spokes. I did tighten them all to a point it was probably beyond the tolerance. I also noticed some of the older original wheel had some thread showing. Was this normal on these Suzuki TS (Mine TS125 1974) I was thinking of taking it to a builder to make spokes that maybe fit better. It is hard to tell at the end if you still have some thread showing or not?
Hi there, yes you will have some threads showing on some spokes and not on the others this normal. As long as the rim is true you are good. You don't have to tighten spokes excessively. If you have some threads protruding where the tube could get punctured just grind them flush with the nipple, and don't forget to put a rim band on. Sounds like you did a great job. Thanks for watching the channel.
Hi Paul, I believe on the rear wheel I did. You might take a look at that one. I have done quite a few wheel lacing videos. But they get redundant after a while. So not all of them did I do a step by step tutorial. Thanks for watching. If you dont find what your looking for let me know. I am always lacing wheels, I can do a more in depth one. Matter fact I have 21 inch and a 18 inch on a 71 Ct1 yamaha coming up soon. Thanks for your comment.
Nicely done.
Cheers, Peter.
Thanks Peter.
Very helpful. Often wondered how they were done in quantity at the factory. They are a pain!
Oh there not that bad, time consuming mostly. They probably got a bunch of geisha girls lacing the up. Thank for watchin.
Looks great
Thank you sir

Sorry, you don't seem to explain the turning process other than us to watch you.
