I like this version.
It's like a slightly more "Modern Sonic" version of the original "Classic Sonic" Prey.
Like Eggman's hunger is greater, but Sonic's power is as well, and considering how much Sonic has done to slow down Eggman's destruction of the land for more food, Starved has had enough and has finally decided to confront Sonic to end this once and for all.
The "clean bass" of the remix sounds like part of the land is clean and untouched, but Eggman is currently destroying it and harvesting any food or resources he can find and consume or use to gather more food. It's literally a streamlined battle to see who wins the world.
2:55 MY favorite part BY FAR! What he did with Robotnik's section was a REALLY nice touch. I love it.

I cannot help but come back to this literally all of the time, this is an amazing remix, better then the original in my opinion! This remix is the perfect blend between simple and extraordinary, the refined instrumental really highlights it, the song feels so much faster and energized now and I'm all for it, and the vocals being kept basically the same is amazing, not all of them have to change and thats why i love this one, great work Mike!
Edit: And dont even get me STARTED on those turns where you kick up the effects on the vocals, example being the last 2 turns while Furnace is singing, that just sound way too good, i love it
