Those are really cute! I find that silicone finger guards are helpful to prevent steam from burning my fingers when I iron.

I like your idea, but most of my zippers have very small openings so I'm sure it won't work.

What pattern is the patchwork roll bag ?

It's called the Sew-Together bag. You should be able to find the pattern from your local quilt shop or on-line. The pattern calls for solid fabric pieces, but I altered it just a bit to add the patchwork.
