That's been 20 years ago. I've been a child support slave the majority of my adult life, got two college degrees and can't make any money. I feel worthless most of the time. My life sucks now. Just goes to show that whatever you're doing in your early 20s isn't necessarily a good indicator of how your life will turn out.

I started playing drums 32yrs ago & during that time I've gone through periods that have lasted years without touching a drum set & gone back to it & been right back in form after a week or two, I've realized that most of it's the will to play & express yourself & practice is good but that's just polishing something, if the foundation, the need to express one's self is strong enough nothing can stop it

Yeah I am almost 21 and so far I’m really trying to focus on something I’ve always wanted to do, I’m studying hard for it around the clock and I take the entrance exam in 3 weeks which I failed twice in high school, I am tired of working dead end jobs from time to time where they pretty much promote those who have college degrees, and college wasn’t really my cup of tea either!
This is why parents should listen and pay attention to their children and you'll find out what it is they want to do and not force them into doing something they don't want to do so they don't end up doing it and then that is the conditioning that they have all the way through life. Let your kids do what they want to do and they will be successful because they do it.

I trained in and taught martial arts for over a decade and I was excited for the opportunity now that we have kids to teach them. They really aren’t interested. At first I was sad but I had to remind myself they are their own people and have their own interests. I didn’t want to force them and have them hate it like some students I had. Their parents made them come to class despite how much they didn’t want to
