@@SeeChadRun Myself and at least two of my friends are doing it this year! The course reminds me of the difficulty and views that you get running Never Summer.
Thank you! I keep trying to make the videos just a little bit better. That volunteer at the beginning of the race was fabulous and kept me motivated :-)
I did a bunch of searching and hardly anybody had a video on it or even a good handful of pictures (that I found). Other than just documenting this video for myself, I hope it helps others out and maybe encourages them to sign up for the race. It was definitely a tough one but I enjoyed every mile of it! Thank you for checking out the video!
It's an amazing race in such a beautiful area! I would love to do it again and if given the opportunity totally would! Best of luck to you and I hope you enjoy every mile!
Chad- Just ran the Jones Pass road yesterday-took my 1 hour to get to the top where it splits to the left to start the trail- its still covered in snow so ran it back down. pretty brutal 4 miles. our friend Zack russell got 1st last year in the 50k there.
Awesome! Appreciate the follow-up/update. I wondered about the snow. Zach ran an amazing race last year. Wish I got the chance to talk to him. He and I ran in the same shoes, so that makes me fast too ;-) hehe
I definitely felt the elevation at first coming up the first pass but once I got to the top and saw the beautiful views, I kind of forgot about it :-) Still, it was a factor that introduced challenges on top of the elevation gain and technical terrain. Such a beautiful course though!
Thank you Jason! It was a great race, though not without its difficulties. That was part of the appeal. This race was harder than my last 50K in May (Jemez Mountains 50k trail race) but I ran stronger and faster. My legs also don't feel as wrecked so I'm not sure if that's training or race nutrition but I'll take it!
I have a pair of Adidas Terrex Ultra off your review, so far enjoying them for those shorter distance races. Thanks now to execute a 63km trail race… shoe decisions??? Hahah Salomon Ultra Glide maybe. Congrats on this finish well done love the content….
I've heard really good things about the Ultra Glide shoes! In this particular race and my previous 50K (Jemez Mountains 50k) I ran in the adidas TERREX Speed Ultra's, which for me were the perfect choice. Thanks for checking out the video and for the comment! I really appreciate it :-)
Awesome! It was a great race and I would love to do it again! Even if I could just go back to the area and run along the Continental Divide. It was so pretty!
Dude those views along those ridges early in the race were amazing! And the color of the trees too! I might have to put this race on the list. Great video Chad!

Greg job in the race, Chad! Average elevation over 11k is tough!

Nice race, looks like a blast!

The views in this race are spectacular! I was surprised to see the aspen trees changing colors already but it sure made for a more spectacular run.
I've never been so high up in the mountains like that. The views looked incredible. No wonder you were feeling a bit tired at the top! 👍🏻🏃♂️
It was spectacular! My cheeks were sore by the end of the race because I was smiling so much! Lol
