I’ve always been amazed to see “famous” British stars in he smallest roles. They don’t seem to have huge egos and just like to work.

They are married in real life, a fact of which I and many other people were previously unaware.
The joke, or perhaps more accurately, small moment of amusement, comes from flipping the script and briefly imagining the two fictional characters as husband and wife, the same as the real life actors who played them. Speculation about the potential interactions between two such widely divergent characters becomes a momentary source of mirth. It’s not that deep and not meant to be taken seriously.

How wonderful. They have both given me great joy. I appreciate the hard work you do in your acting in your movies. I am 80 and stuck in bed. I loved all the earlier but just at 80 and alone enjoy even more. In Canterbury New Zealand my late cousins were great cricketers it gave me a thrill to know you were too also a cricketer even though you were in England and I am New Zealand how it. gave me a thrill.

Rewatching Downton Abbey, I realized that Jim Carter can totally be Snape or Snape’s dad in the Harry Potter movies 😂. Even his voice makes me think of Alan Rickman 🥲

Trying to be an actor when you are the daughter of such incredible and successful actors is very brave and yet daunting. Judi Dench's daughter is a prime example of that. Imelda loves her daughter, wishes her success and happiness and I thought her dedication to her in her speech was very loving, kind and what a good Mother would do.

Bone to pick: they are NOT Hollywood. They are English. All film & TV is not under the rubric of "Hollywood." We americans love brit tv and film precisely because they are not slick Hollywood product. Yes, some brit actors are also Hollywood stars when they make successful films here.
Lost some respect for Imelda after she appeared in The Crown ridiculous programme, also Bridgerton that tries to reinvent history. Shame!
I had to look up the definition of "fascicle" and found it means "a cluster of flowers or leaves, such as the bundles of the thin leaves (or needles) of pines · A discrete bundle of vascular tissue ..." Why can't people realize The Crown was not a documentary - it was a fictional drama. How on Earth can you lose respect for someone who is just doing their job and doing it extremely well?

I have enjoyed the acting from this couple in the past but this shows a lack of integrity. Selling their talent for huge money to appear in a badly written farce is low. In television interviews Imelda Staunton stated she did it because they were offering huge amounts of money. Another idol with feet of clay.
