    I’m currently doing this mod to my Megasquirt2.Thank you for prompt reply.

    Great video and channel. Did you add a separate fuel temperature sensor, or do you get that signal from the flex fuel sensor also?

      @OGPedXing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's pretty cool, both come from the sensor. What it does is send a pulse and the width of it is converted to a temp. The frequency determines the ethanol percent.

    I see you used a newer e85 sensor off a GM. My question is does it work properly? Megamanual says use older GM sensor.

      Yes, it reads it fine! The output specification is identical to the older sensor.

    U still street tuning? I wanna switch my injectors and fuel pump

    Great video again! Also, impressively stable idle. For your closed loop control do you use advanced with I, P and D settings or simple? I'm currently dealing with my idle valve fluctuating hence causing unstable idle rpms.
    Also where is your IAT to avoid heat soak? Cant find it.

      Right now I have it on simple and it's been fine actually, ev14 is legit. I find giving it a bit more fuel is where it's happiest. Around 14 to 14.4 afr gives me the most vacuum and no hunting.
      For the IAT it's in my custom intake right after the filter but shielded by a diy heatshield. I have a video for that build, th-cam.com/video/yICAGQUsbIM/w-d-xo.html.
      If you have an intercooler I recommend putting it in the outlet pipe right after the cooler but still in front of the radiator.

      @@OGPedXing I saw that video after posting this. Thanks! Yeah hot restarts are causing a lean hunt due to the IAT getting heat soaked. It quickly goes away once driving but its just a PIA.
      I'll try that. I'll target a lower lambda and see if that makes any difference.
      Thanks again and keep it up with the videos!

      OGPedXing i read on the forums that auto tune in the idling cells isn’t worth a shit so you may just have to manually adjust those cells

    shouldn't you be using a power ground? Since it is a +12v Power Supply to the FF Sensor

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most sensors on the Miata are 12v, however you want to ground low power (amps) things like sensors to the same places and high amps things like coils or solenoids to a separate place. This reduces transient surges and improves the accuracy of the sensor.

    Do on the tuner studio days page show the e85 content once you install the flexfuel sensor..? So really dont need a content gauge then huh, I'll just buy a sensor... maybe a congenital one

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right, you wouldn't need a gauge unless you wanted one. Once the flex input is enabled in TS then you can put the content and temp readouts on your default TS dashboard.

      @@OGPedXing I would still need a flexfuel sensor correct? I was literally waiting for your reply so I can buy one on Ebay.. think those cheap $50 works from china.. same thing I think

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dangerousfandango5943 yes, once you have the sensor you can hook it up like the video and then tune from there. The China versions can be hit or miss..mine is a cheap one and it's been ok so far. However a real one from like an online gm parts store is about $100. If you're going to run high boost I'd spend the money because an incorrect reading could give the engine too much timing and blow the engine. There are two "Continental" versions, a small one like I use and a large one. They are the same aside from size.

    Hey did it manual mention in lining a 10k resistor with the signal wire? For mines it says it needs it. I have the ms2 pnp... and now I think ill have to rig up the box and solder the wire in . Now kinda wish they had the inputs in the hardness

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For my ms3x i didn't add anything, the flex input is already set up and I made sure to include the line to it in the harness I built. For the ms2 it looks like a couple of resistors are needed, one for a pullup to 5v and the other to the ecu pin. Here's the megamanual section (which you may have but just to help future people with the same issue): www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/MS2V30_Hardware-3.4.pdf/MS2V30_Hardware-3.4-29.html

    Which MS pin did u use for the signal cable??

    • @OGPedXing
      @OGPedXing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used pin 5 for the flex sensor input.
