True sign of a master craftsman is that he makes it look simple. No music blaring in the background, no explanation of what's going on (none needed). Excellent vidiography. Love it!
I think to inspire is the biggest gift you can give someone. I know nothing about woodworking but I'm fascinated by it. Your dedication to your art is truly remarkable. Thank you!
Watching your videos is 12 minutes well spent. It is nice to see a craftsman actually use his hands while operating his power tools instead of strategically placed plastic “ products”. Thank you, and your little dog to.
Best Sunday morning therapy. Coffee, some smooth jazz and watching the master create furniture. Wish i had a machine park like this. Thank you for sharing
There is something elegant and calming about your work and your videos. I particularly enjoy watching you blend new and traditional tools into your work. Thank you for the peace and inspiration.
I happen to love his type of Japanese furniture, almost to the point of obsession, but not quite. These videos are works of art in themselves. Ordered, composed, understandable, but mostly beautiful and calming. What an absolute joy to watch, soak up and relax to. Perhaps, more importantly, they're excellent learning tools. I have no woodworking machinery. Only a bench, rulers, a pencil, Japanese saws and chisels, Leigh-Nielsen planes and spokeshaves and a great desire to learn from Ishitani san. Thank you for making your videos. Greetings from Australia.
I'm a huge fan of Mr. Ishitani's work...but I'd also like to point out the art and professionalism of the videography. The cuts, composition, timing and story are as balanced as the woodworking.
How could anyone dislike his work? He demonstrates all the skills of a craftsman. From raw material to stunning pieces of furiture. What could be missing?
Wonderful how the simplicity of the style combines with the technicalities of the execution to turn out to be an exceptional piece that can be placed into any setting.
As a woodwork myself I enjoy your journey into the world of perfection. I would hope that I could attain half of what you display. As a zenist, I appreciate this journey of silence and attainment. Thanks, RC
Fascinating glimpse at Japanese tools and methods. That circular saw for the dovetails is so...........dangerous. ! The Hatagane clamps are lovely. Nice work.
Thank you. This is beautiful. It would never have occurred to me to join the live edges like you did. Also keeping the dutchmen and legs proud and champfering the edges. I have a long way to go. Many thanks for sharing.

Fits perfect.. like a glove @8:04👍👍 needed some inspiration so watched this again for the 5th time..lol this one never gets old have it added to a playlist of my top favorite woodworkers
Él es un gran carpintero, pero Chíe es excelente en el manejo de la cámara y en las tomas de video. Por ella, vemos la calidad en el trabajo y el detalle de los muebles! Grandiosa Chíe!
Again, another beautiful piece of master-craft work and captured in another wonderful video. Sad to read about the removal of your other videos but thankful that I got to see all of them - the memory of what you have made and what I have learnt from watching you, and the inspiration will not be lost. ありがとうございました.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL work of art! Especially where you used the natural curve of the board on the joint between the two boards. Love it! So enjoy your work and video style. So peaceful.
Hello! Each video posted here on your channel I get more amazed by their work. I build furniture with wooden pallets ... but I do not compare with his magnificent work. Thank you for your humble attitude in sharing their knowledge. I'm learning a lot. Karateka as I am, the least I can say is Oss.
Outstanding work....I could watch your videos all day long, I just had rotator cuff surgery so I'm out for at least 8 weeks, it's very hard to walk in my shop and just look at all my tools just sitting there. So keep them videos coming.

It's like therapy watching you work. It relaxes the mind.
Exactly. Pure Zen :)

Seeing a woodworker make things out of actual wood and not just epoxy is refreshing.

It's ridiculous how talented you are.
Even the word beautiful can't describe the beauty of this bench...it's a peace of harmony and balance. Just wow ishitani-dono.
