  • In an unusual direct message to other world leaders gathered in Paris, France, South Africa's President, Cyril Ramaphosa has warned that Africa should not be treated as beggars. Africa's clout is growing. He says the lives of the people in the global North is not worth more than those in the South. President Cyril Ramaphosa also hinted that the continued use of the dollar as the international currency of trade will be on the agenda of the next BRIC summit in South Africa. President Cyril Ramaphosa was speaking at a gathering of world leaders' Summit For A New Global Financing Pact in Paris France.

HE ain't begging, only saying enough is enough, they don't like it when a man stands for his rights and his countryman, you see their faces, they're not used to it. Many blessings to africa. To respect one another, is to live in peace. Mexican president Benito Juarez

These statements by President Ramaphosa are very powerful. It is insane for the collective West to believe that they should continue to benefit from their unjustifiable claims to lands and resources around the world. They are lucky that people are not calling full reparations for the damages brought on by colonialism and imperialism.

Colonialism is over. Africans must care about Africa, not looking for people to care. If you depend on resources of others, you are beggar. Help is a choice, not a must. Others might help you, or not, or change their mind about helping. Life in south is less value? To whom? You want equality? Sure. Turn Zimbabwe into Rhodesia (for example) and release grain on market. Both Russia and Ukraine have 3 month window to produce 1/4th of worlds grain. Snow makes headlines in Africa. You can easily get equal or ahead of them.

I yet to understand the financial and economical frailty of Africa. The whole world on a daily basis digging up some part of African soil. What are the deals being made? I admire you as a leader stating you don't want to be beggars but where is your collective power? With your Soil can't you repay your debt's if adequately planned? Something is fundamentally wrong why Africa is not freeing itself and being a strong economic Continent.

@@kyubishinigami3020 Africa receives about $133.7 billion each year from official aid, grants, loans to the private sector, remittances, etc. so let’s cut that if they don’t want to be seen as beggars? Also maybe we can scrub the aid the west has given to Africa over the last 30 odd years off the so called "reparations" orrrrr even better if you don’t want to be seen as beggars stop acting like beggars and asking for reparations…..just saying 😉 So if Africa didn’t receive this "Aid" From the west the entire infrastructure would collapse and people would starve to death….At least try to look humble while your filling your pockets with other people money…..Can nobody see the hypocrisy in this ?
