Just making sure, the concept of "sprinting without knowing the distance" is basically saying. Are you willing to work your hardest every day, without ever knowing when it's gonna stop.
I’m a middle school basketball player, and my school goes 7th through 9th grade. Mostly 9th graders are Varsity and 7th and 8th is JV. I like the “sprinting without knowing the distance” quote because it’s how i worked over the summer. In 7th grade i barely played JV. Now i’m one of the best defenders and a solid scorer on varsity in 8th. I spent countless hours in the gym, walking there after school and then sometimes staying until it closed. In games I go as hard as I can then I review film to see what to do better. No one is perfect but I try to get myself there.
I really love all of your videos, they are so helpful for me all the time. However, I have a question... How do I get into Collage Ball if Im not from the USA? Do I need to be studying in a collage to try out for the team or how does it work? It would be great if you could come back to this question in any kind of response. Thank you!
I remember when the NBA was expanding and were worried about elite talent. They were worried about elite talent being spread to thin. Not any more for years. The NBA went international. The Dallas mavericks when they won the championship. The Spurs when they won many championships. Now all of the teams. It has only made it harder to achieve on such a high level. Those foreign player more than filled the gap. Making your video even more poignant. Jaden Hardy skipped college going to the G league. He's a perfect example of how difficult it is to make an NBA roster regardless of talent.
That’s a great point. The NBA going global has definitely raised the level of competition. Talent is no longer enough to stick on a team. You have to be able to think the game and impact in other ways. Thanks for sharing your insight

Yeah exactly. I should’ve been more clear. But basically are you willing to work without knowing when exactly you’ll reach your destination
