      I don't know, the 2250 ultra cc and the 2750 UCC are even better especially offshore.👍

      @johnkidd797 which one do you have?

    I have one of these coming in a few days, if the dock workers don't go back on strike, bought it from the Stabicraft dealer in Richmond.
    Looking forward to getting out on the water, it's my first ever boat so a big learning curve ahead of me..
    Thank you for the excellent review, your videos are always very good and I have noticed your presentations have become more polished lately.
    Great job.

      With this being your first boat your are going to be very spoiled. In the sense that you won't actually appreciate just how challenging it actually can be to be offshore in such a small boat.
      I have a 2050 here in South Florida and it handles big water just as good, if not better as the 30 foot bluefins.
      I have seen bluefin boats get swamped with water while trying to back up on a fish. Something that will not happen on a Stabicraft.
      Again you are going tolearn how to boat on a boat that can handle itself better that 90% of the other boats of its size.
      Having said that always be mindful of the weather and sea conditions.
      Remember that when you are on a boat there are always 5 factors to constantly keep in mind:
      Wind
      Current
      Depth
      Tide
      Swell
      Also get ready to have some dings and scratches on your new boat while you learn. They are unavoidable 😅
      Have fun!

    Great video and great looking boat.

    Thanks for the nice video, btw. Did this boat have the foam filled chambers? If so do you think it enhances the ride, like noisiness?

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! This boat does have foam filled chambers. It is a very quiet riding hull, but unfortunately we haven't spent enough time on a boat without foam to compare. Stabicraft is slowly making this option standard on most hulls, so I believe they feel it makes a substantial difference.

    I know it’s been four months for the post, but do you still have the boat? Or how about one similar to that one

      This exact boat is sold, but we do have a few 2050 Supercabs in stock still at both of our locations. Cheers

    What brand is the trailer rock guard? Do you think they work better than no guard?

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a Bow Buddy. We quite like them as it doesn't restrict access to the winch handle, tongue jack, washing the boat, etc. There are certainly guards out there with better protection, but they become a pain to work around. These are a good overall solution in our opinion and a reasonable price.

    • @andywocky
      @andywocky ปีที่แล้ว

      They look great! Would you recommend a Bow Buddy Original, Max or 90 for a 2050?

    Could you DM me what is the price on a setup like this? I am in the lower mainland and i know there is a local dealer but it like the way you guys setup the boats.

    One question I have always wanted to ask to American/Canadian boaters and fishers is why still the "kicker" motor?
    With all the electric trolling motors and reliability of the 4 stroke outboards with troll/rpm functionality, why would one need it?
    Genuine question because the reason maybe something I've never thought of or experienced.

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The reason many choose a kicker over using the main outboard is generally to keep hours off the main engine. Kickers are much less to buy and maintain. Guys can do 8+ hours a day trolling, so this can really add up over the course of a year. The other issue is sometimes the larger engines cannot troll slow enough depending on the fish species. For Salmon guys sometimes need 2mph which can be difficult with a large prop / gearcase. As for the comparison to electric trolling motors, I believe this simply comes down to run time and simplicity. These guys aren't needing the boat control / features that come with a bow mount and will get infinite run time on the kicker without having to worry about recharging each night, especially when in remote areas without shore power.

      @gibbonsmotortoys Thank you for a decent explanation, I can see the reasons why. Different fishing styles, different waters, massively different needs and ways people around the world use a boat.

    So in such a big boat, there's only 4 seats??? is there any option to make customized additional seats? I should have at least 6 seats for its length.

    • @John_Williams421
      @John_Williams421 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your packing 6 guys on a boat now will you have room to fish. They can stand dude

    • @jejoko
      @jejoko 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are actually 6 seats. 8 if you consider the cabin cushions.

    How much would it cost to have a fully optioned boat like this shipped to australia?

      Hi There, we are located in Canada. You'd be better off contacting your local dealer in Australia. They will be listed on Stabicraft's website. Cheers

    whats the total towing weight with the engine?

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on how the boat is rigged you'd be looking between 2500 and 3000lbs plus the trailer

    • @jejoko
      @jejoko 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Total trip ready towing weight is actually closer to 3800 lbs. When you consider a full tank of fuel, water, ice, gear, ect.

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jejoko I specified 2500 - 3000lbs PLUS the trailer, so our numbers are identical.

    Is this one designed for New Zealand market or US

    • @gibbonsmotortoys
      @gibbonsmotortoys  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This one was built more for the US market, but lots of similarities. The only major difference is the rear transom / fish box design.

      Nice
      I have a Stabicraft as well
      These boats are built to fish and are the 4x4 of the sea like a rough terrain 4 wheel drive
