1979-2001 Dale was always a contender he never lost that competitive nature. Rookie of the year, 7 championship's, 76 victory's and even lead his final race. This man's untimely death started the decline of Nascar.

Great interview! I loved the part where Sale talks about Dale Jr having an interest in racing. He didn't push him!

His Outlook in life, even as young as his early 30s and approaching his prime in Nascar, awesome legendary driver pretty much everything he said came true down to his father and family or his son becoming a driver.

I wonder why they lied about where they were?~ There is no Broken Plow, South Carolina~

Sounds like an "Earnhardt story" that Dale would tell to throw people off so they wouldn't come find him! (By 83, people knew where the Lake Norman house was.)

I’m from a place called Greasy Corner in N.C. It’s been called that for generations, but it’s not on any map. On the map it’s called Davie Cross Roads. Perhaps Broken Plow S.C. is a similar circumstance.
