    Thank you. Made my first batch of pasta with the assistance from your video. It’s Sunday dinner this evening!

    I just bought this pasta attachment yesterday, have not tried it yet. Thank you for the tip for running the mixer at high speed when using this attachment. Cannot wait to try it out.

    I just bought this and the rollers set on sale at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Used a 20% off coupon and got them really really cheap. Sale is going on right now. I'm watching videos to be informed before I use it. I'm excited to make my own pasta. I want to make some wheat pasta as well as tomato pasta. Thanks for a lovely video.

    I love this gadget but I get so frustrated that my holes close at times or by the time I’m placing them on the counter at times they have gotten flat. I’m amazed at how stiff and perfect yours came out! Any pointers?! It seems I have to keep dusting them with flour at every stage. I’d love for mine to look like yours. Please assist 😄

      I had the same problem! I think it's the dough being too sticky.

    • @rspryngfarmcountry4487
      @rspryngfarmcountry4487  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I agree, sticky dough may be the issue. Add in more flour before starting rather than during.

      I had the same problem but I think I've solved it! I used the following recipe, given to me by a friend who used to be a chef at a Michelin star restaurant (for 1 person): 100 Gr Typo 00 flour, 25 Gr semolina, 3 Gr salt, 100 ml eggyolks, 16 Gr olive oil. Combine everything and knead the dough. Leave to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour before using. It worked perfectly! The dough didn't stick and the rigatoni held its shape. I also felt like cleanup was a lot easier because the dough didn't stick as much. I hope it helps!

      @@MsSteffie1991 I'm having a big problem with the dough being too sticky and the noodles not looking nearly as nice as yours. Do you have a recipe in the Imperial measurement system (cups, oz...) I am attempting to convert the recipe you gave above, but its a bit tricky and I don't think I'll have the amounts right.

      Check out my video on making your own egg pasta, that is the recipe I use and I just add in a lite extra flour if it feels too sticky ♥️

  • @toffanrhythmprojects309

    Heads up, I used it on high speed as you suggested, and then the pasta ring broke! What kind of noodles are okay to make using that speed? We were making fusilli, and then I checked the manual after, which suggests speed 2-4. So, wanted to share my experience as I took your advice to save potentially working the motor too hard with the slower speed, and then busted the attachment! Maybe it was my recipe? I made egg noodles with the recipe from the manual. Anyways, maybe consider adding a disclaimer incase this happens to anybody else.

    Great video! I have a Kitchen Aid that I never use except with the grinder attachment. I have a Ron Popiel Pasta Maker that’s 25+ years old and I used to use it all the time. Do you let the pasta dry at all before using and do you find the cook time is different with fresh pasta? Great tutorial! 😊 Josie

      We normally use it immediately and the pasta is ready in 3-4 min if you like Al Dente...we like ours softer so it's about 7-9 minutes but sure tastes so much better!

    Hi I was looking in to buying one, the only thing is that I used one before (my mom's she has the basic KitchenAid classic) and I felt like the motor was over heating and it was scary! I was sure that the machine was going to brake... at the same time we had stuck in so many dought balls in the hole probably that was a problem ! I have a KitchenAid artisan, do you think this attachment could potentially brake my machine ? Does yours feel overheated?

    • @rspryngfarmcountry4487
      @rspryngfarmcountry4487  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd have to check with kitchenaid to see if it would work with your machine and yes, mine gets pretty warm when it's running at full speed but it doesn't seem to have a negative effect so far. We use it a couple times each week to make pasta and it works great!

      I think an artisan series will be fine if you use it irregularly. If you are planning to use it like that more often, you may want to look into getting a more powerful machine i.e. the Professional 5+.

      I agree! I clearly have too much time on my hands because I actually bought this attachment for the FUSILLI only. I'm glad it has other stuff, but apparently that's the only way to get corkscrews.Why can't we have everything we desire from multiple sources. RIGHT NOW. (Okay, now I'm calm.) I love pasta.
