Staying up late at 10 years old in my room after bed time playing this when it came out. Best memories, This song being my favorite.
I first did that to King Dedede's theme on the original Kirby! Haha

@@SuperIvanGrozniSea Foam Islands were way more difficult for me, putting the boulders into place to stop the current of the water & then getting to Articuno was a pain the ass for me as a kid.

Wow, this takes me back. The 1st gen will always be my favorite but i loved the 2nd gen for the soundtracks and the fact that you could go back to kanto. I wonder if they will ever do that again? Just make one big game for the wii or something that allows you to go through the world maps of the 1st - 4th gens.

I hate how they took out the main theme in the newer versions.. that initial deep, dark motif is what made the song for me...
HG/SS was better imo. Probably because I grew up with them and was born at the wrong time for Gold/Silver...but idk I felt HG/SS was a bit scarier.

You know, as much as I love HGSS...the music of Ice path never compares to the original for me. In HGSS it sounds fun, icy, a LITTLE scary. But then the original sounds more terrifying, cold and hopeless. Like "You'll freeze to death if you don't hurry out." the magic only the old bit could give.
i think this version fits Dark Cave more because its mote grimy and hard, while hgss’s fits the ice path because its more… twinkly? crystally? idk it sounds more ice-like
I would say the same thing for the Viridian Forest themes from gen 1.

Since the themes of Ice Cave and Dark Cave are the same, I must say this is more appropriate for Dark Cave and the new version is mor appropriate for Ice Cave.

I didn't know about this theme for about 10 years now.
Why is that? Because i never bothered to turn up the volume for the tracks. I didn't want to annoy my parents. And when i play these on emulators, i run 300%+, which means the sound is botched.

Man they really improved the music in HGSS, the bass notes don’t fit with the melody at all, the counter melody is nice tho
1:26 shows a path. I think the large Ice floor back in :56 needs one more XD the first time I played silver, that took me a good while to figure out the path :P

Uh... 8 years? 8 years ago was the release of Emerald (after Crystal - 2001, Ruby/Sapphire - 2003, FireRed/LeafGreen - 2004), not a few months after Silver.
