What Happened to Al Pacino?

  • Al Pacino says he doesn’t remember much of the 1970s. So, THE GODFATHER, SERPICO, SCARECROW, DOG DAY AFTERNOON, ...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL-some of the greatest movies ever, let alone of the 1970s: all a blur. But unfortunately he remembers GIGLI and 88 MINUTES, REVOLUTION , RIGHTEOUS KILL and too many more all too well.
He is a guy that always goes over the top and some times it results in brilliance and other times it cause Mr. Pacino to become a parody of himself. But is his legacy strong enough and is Al in the middle of another comeback? Certainly age hasn't slowed him down much, with him recently having a baby with his younger girlfriend.
It’s a diverse career of ups and downs and whatever the hell he was thinking with JACK AND JILL. And so let’s find out: What Happened to...AL PACINO?

Al Pacino is an actor like non other. Some actors are just there own category of uniqueness that other actors can't copy.
Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Sylvester Stallone, Danny Devito, Jim Carrey, Robert Englund, Robin Williams, Jodie Foster, Max Von Sydow are all actors with various qualities that cant be replicated.

Al Pacino is one of the greats of Hollywood and, as others have mentioned, what makes him one of a kind is that he is a well rounded actor. He can give you a powerful performance like in The God Father or The Devils Advocate and later make your kids laugh with his performance in Jack and Jill. He was awesome and the fact that he can make fun of himself makes him one of the best. See if you can see a Tom Cruz or other not taking themselves so seriously, taking chances, having fun and still garner respect when he enters a room?

And yes, obviously, "Scent of a Woman" was fantastic as well. I wish it hadn't been titled that, though. There are probably dozens of better titles, but that's the one they gave it. Everytime I see these titles I just want to come and comment, they're old af now, but I usually don't come to watch because of the title. Soo, yeah. This is your answer for the future, bud

I liked Simone, it was a commentary on people's obsession with unreal but beautiful things. The ending was weird though? Not only was the program running on a harddrive without a casing but at the end the program still ran even after throwing the harddrive away so it what, just ran on ram??

In Scarface he seemed so believable. His accent was not that great but despite that he seemed so believable.

For some stupid reason he wanted to become a father again while being over 80. But the dude really has nothing else to prove, so him playing silly roles from time to time should be seen as him having simple fun.

      Feel bad for the newborn.
Not just that they may not grow up with a father, but they’re also more likely to have genetic disorders because old age complicates your genes, and it’s coding

This pregnancy actually wasn’t planned Al Pacino has stated he thought he was infertile due to a long standing medical condition. I really don’t think he’d plan having a child at his age.

I was nine in 1982, my mother mixed up 'Author, Author' and 'Arthur'. Because of her mistake, we watched 'Arthur' in the theater instead. She so wanted to watch Al Pacino not Dudley Moore.
