This really is the best setup for the HRX line. The self propel with this one is much easier and quicker to use. The plastic frame is wonderful with no rust worries. Can't say enough about this wonderful design.

Bought my HYA last week from small independent shop. Lovin’ it! . . . ALERT: Honda just announced they will stop mower production in September 2023. California has already BANNED new gas mowers. Get your Honda gas mower while they are still available.

I have the 2021 Honda HRX HYA.
I got the very same mower, and it is a great one. The EU version are called 537 HY, but it is the same. Honda EU mowers are mainly from the plant in Belgium og Italy.
I use only Aspen 4, and Mobil 1 5w 30 oil with higher spec than honda oem oil. And it is a very premium product.
The HRX537 is also made in the U.S., while the smaller HRX476 is made in France.
I think they’ve had that deck around 30 years as I had one in 91 or 92
I bought this model maybe a month ago, and it's my third identical model since I use them commercially. Actually this last one will be the first one with a new 200 cc engine so I'm expecting even more power out of it. I love this mower. From the light and durable non stick "plastic" deck, to the powerful engine and the blade clutch system. I have to complaints about HRX 217. First is that it feels a bit flimsy. Given that the handle doesn't have supporting struts, the whole mower seems wobbly.
The other thing I don't like is the Versamow handle. That thing gets jammed and it doesn't slide easily from one side to another. I tried it as new, without any grass clogging the system and the pulling was still heavy and not smooth.
Other than that, it's a beast..

I’ve been wanting to buy one of these since the fall and finally got one today. One of three they had. Unfortunately had to pay full msrp at local power center. Why are these particular models so difficult to find?
Supply chain issues. Really causing a challenge for purchasers and dealerships.

At 3:13, , on the back of the mower, what is that silver tab to the left of the clip door?
I think that is actually a printed warning/instruction tag.
@awxx2006 I got my time wrong. It's visible right after he opens the chute. I've since decided it might be a way to mount the chute control but still not sure.
@@oatlord I went out and re-looked at my mower. That is a metal tab and is part of the self propelling motor's body. It is how the power wheel drive motor attaches to the plastic mower deck.
