I have the Makita 2 x18v Line trimmer and the 2 x 18v Multi Tool, the line trimmer is great but needs a speed feed head to be the ultimate weapon, hedger is great although heavy once you get the extension on it and start waving the hedger head around 6m above the ground but the Makita Harness helps, also picked up the edger which is the way to do your edgers in style with a top notch finish and also grabbed the rotary scissors which is ................. a very nice piece of kit for that polished finish! Great review Dan, the turf is looking in good shape, keep up the good work.
Ive got this unit and its a weapon. The pole saw is awesome also. One gripe is that it spins anti clockwise and absolutely punishes the shins if you run it through some sand or dirt by accident.
Hey mate. New subscriber. I strongly recommend removing the guard for longer line pieces. Get a new speed feed from your local mower shop. ( A small one from GA spares ) and like what other people have said, get a blade edger. Anyway. Love your lawn.
Just goes to show it is always best to make sure your shaft is always all the way in😂😂😂😂your grass is looking fantastic, such a lovely shade of green even cut at that low height. What type of seed do you use? Is it pure perennial rye, or a mix of fescues etc? Do you mix it yourself or buy it in bags and put down as is? I recently renovated mine using Johnson's j premier pitch seed that is the same seed lots of football grounds use here in the U.k at their stadiums.
Both of my lawns are warm season varieties that are rhysome and stolon based. They are not seeded but rolled out. Back is Kikuyu and front is Couch, not suitable for your neck of the woods mate. Soz
@@thegreenandgoldlife1464 Thanks mate, was interested to know the type, as it looks fantastic. Yeah the weather we get in this shit hole of a country across the pond from you, warm season grasses wouldn't stand a chance. It is almost freezing here, but been dry, so I managed to get a winter mow on today, only so it is not so much hard work once our grass starts growing like mad again, come Spring in a few months. You always put a smile on my face watching your vids with your sense of humour, and remarks🤣🤣🤣🤣
Isn't the the power level on top not the battery level It should have 3 power levels. Overgrown 3 Normal stuff 1 or 2. If you keep top trigger down it wont turn off on you. Safety trigger. Battery levels are on batteries only. Also i think it has reverse yea. Give the hand book a read
Still perfer my 2banger dual handle way better on the back having a full harness, also it's super reliable haven't had a air filter or airfilter cover on it since I was 18 and I'm 31 now😂😂 use it every week and have claimed back a lawn that was knee high when we moved into a rental
I know it's "the competition" but I really like my EGO gear. As always, if you're already in their Ecosystm with batteries for cordless power tools etc (Milwaukee/Stihl/Ozito/Gimme my Makita back Mac!) you can't go wrong I reckon. Nice hat by the way Dan 😁
I'v got a hikoki 1st fix nail gun that times out aswell. Nothing worse than getting everything in position to finally pull the trigger and nothing happens 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Not sure if you worked it out yet. If you keep your hand on the safety switch, it won't turn off. I have the rotary scissors on mine, which are pretty handy

Thanks for the heads up mate
I’ve got Makita as well so makes sense when I eventually go battery whipper snipper to go that way. Thanks for the review.
No worries ole mate. Can't wait to see what she's capable of
G’day Dan. Lawns are looking good 😃👍🏻
Cheers ole mate
Get the blade edger attachment for alongside the concrete paths. Easy and straight
Might see what my Bday yeilds

Seems pretty good at first use. Mine comes with a reverse button. So I can run it the other way if required

🤣🤣🤣 ya gotta look good
Nothing more annoying than having to turn on a battery whip or hedger when you only put it down for a few seconds.
I'v got a hikoki 1st fix nail gun that times out aswell. Nothing worse than getting everything in position to finally pull the trigger and nothing happens 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Yeah a bit frustrating however, I don't see putting it down too often so might not be so much of a drama at this stage
