    I used to haul truckloads of non-organic corn to a feed mill and they mixed it into cow feed and deliver it to an organic dairy farm. The farm knew it wasnt organic feed but sold their milk as certified organic to an organic processor at almost twice the price as non-organic

      dam freaking BS.

    • @strong40
      @strong40 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@joaquincortada1483 100% true. I knew the feed truck drivers well who told me that. The farm was buying conventional corn at conventional corn prices, feeding it to "organic" dairy cows and selling the milk as organic milk at organic milk price. The local vet said that same farm had a "hot load" of milk (testing positive for antibiotics and unusable for human consumption) that had to be fed to veal calves. It's a scam

    There must be clarity and reliability in the labeling.

  • @sweetgirly8492

    USDA must step in because some companies just claimed and put signs and labels stated “organic” on the products everywhere nowadays

      Worse is imported produce and there's real no way to trace it. Just put an organic label on it, double or triple the price, and there ya go.

    Anything labeled Organic label is a marketing tactic, but its a "shrinkflation" now with already high grocery prices.

  • @biscaynesupercars
    @biscaynesupercars ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good. “Organic” has always just been a marketing tactic. But I’m sure this will just be used as a reason to raise food prices even more

    Never bought them unless they were on clearance. I bought organic bananas couple times when regular bananas were gone and they stayed brownish and hard, never ripened. Never got them again after that.

    If you only Buy local and know your farmer and Freeze the veggies you need for the winter u won’t need to buy these items in a supermarket. Buy fruits in season at the farmers market. I still have apples purchased at my local Apple orchard which last all winter in the fridge. My berries were frozen from local UPick farms. Not difficult I’d u make local economies a priority and plan ahead!

      IF you can even to get them. Also, just because you knows the farmers doesn't means it's nontoxic, non-sprayed "hippie" foods. The only way to be sure is to do it yourself. So you gotta make comprises.

    The problem is, what usda calls organic isn't really organic, it's promising to buy their pesticides that they say are OK on organic. Only few family farms grow actually organic like my farm and some others. This is complete bullsh!t

      Just hitting a farmer market might be not any better than your larger grocery store. You need to have a plan to make sure you are getting what they are saying.
