Half or more of their compensation package tends to be in stocks anyways. You come off as extremely bitter & insecure due to your own ignorance and perhaps inability to achieve similar job compensation results. Sure, the absolute amount looks large at ~10k~12k, but when you look at the relative amount at ~5% of these companies, that's not very much -- companies can always find areas to cut where departments aren't efficient with staffing or projects aren't worth the investment. Yes, if you're one of those that are impacted, that really sucks to lose your job, but most companies offer severance and government unemployment benefits, and as noted in the segment, unemployment is relatively low, so there are jobs out there. Good luck, but also, this isn't a "the world is ending" scenario.
